Instructional Priority Focus: Know Every Student Well

Good afternoon Parents/Guardians,

Shine Shine 399 hopes all is well and your families and friends are staying safe and healthy.
We’d like to thank you for all of the hard work and resilience you’ve demonstrated to help your
student(s) transition to remote learning. For the month of June we will engage in exciting project
based learning themes. The following is an outline of the flow of the day and different themes per
the week of June. We will check-in daily with students for attendance, explanation of weekly
themes, and social emotional learning support. At 10:00am- 11:00am small group instruction will
be provided for students who have been identified by their teachers as needing additional support.
All other students will attend specialist classes on their scheduled days and on the days not
scheduled for a specialist the time can be used to catch up on any incomplete work or work on a
weekly theme.

Daily Schedule:

➢ 9:00 am - Check- in/ Overview of theme of the week & SEL activity (chooseharmony.org)
➢ 10:00 am- Small Group instruction (If you’re not a part of a small group you will join Science,
S.S. Art, or Physical Education)*
➢ 11:00 am- Science/ S.S. Art/ Physical Education*
➢ 11:45 am- Theme of the week activity
○ Week 1 (June 1- 5): Reading Explosion/ Guest Readers (links will be provided)
○ Week 2 (June 8- 12): Create a Book/ Memory Book
○ Week 3 (June 15- 19): Math/ STEM Activities
○ Week 4 (June 22- 26): Blast into Summer- Fun Week
➢ 12:20 pm- LUNCH
➢ 1:20 pm- Raz Kids/ Happy Numbers
 ➢ 2:05 pm- Complete unfinished assignments/ iReady Practice

*Science/ S.S. Art/ Physical Education will post the meeting link on class stream or schedule in
calendar.
