DATE :21-12-13
AIM: To find Electric flux density of a given function

EQUIPMENTS REQUIRED:

 P-IV Processor

 Windows 8 or windows XP SP2

 SCILAB 5.4

THEORY:

Electric flux density is electric flux passing through a unit area perpendicular to the direction of the
flux. Electric flux density is a measure of the strength of an electric field generated by a free electric
charge, corresponding to the number of electric lines of force passing through a given area.

The force on it is given by Coulomb’s law,

Writing this force as a force per unit charge gives the electric field intensity, E1 arising from Q1:

E1 is interpreted as the vector force, arising from charge Q1, that acts on a unit positive test charge.
More generally, we write the defining expression:

PROGRAM:
clc;
eD=8.854e-12;
Q=9e-9 //line charge density
r=3 //distance in m
E=(Q)/(4*%pi*(r)^2)
D=e0*E;
disp(D,"Electric Flux Density in Coulomb per square");

CONSOLE WINDOW:
RESULT: In this experiment we studied how to find electric flux density of given function.
