Interpretation

As per the results of the survey there are 26 respondants(highest)who prefer buying products “As per
requirement”.

Least are interested in buying the products from “Shopping malls”(2 responses).

Almost an equal number of respondants consider buying products from “Retail stores nearby” and
“Online shopping”. 17 and 15 responses respectively.

Interpretation

Most of the respondents consider that it is not always important for the product to be sold with an
attractive packaging (41.66%).

Whereas , 17 respondents are in favour with the statement.

20% of the population among 60 respondents feel that attractive packaging is a must for the product to be
sold.

Only 10% of the population consider that attractive packaging is important for selling ‘new products’.

Interpretation

Most respondents of the population are eager to buy a product if the ‘quantity offered’ is more (20
responses).

Almost an equal no. of respondents would like buying if the product’s price is low.

Some of the respondents are more concerned about the ‘quality of the product’

(9 responses)

Least percentage of the population are attracted towards discount or free items (8 responses), and
packaging of the product (7 responses).

Interpretation

Large population gets to know about the product through ‘Advertisement & social media’.

People knowing about the product by the way of television & newspapers are the least.

Even, least percentage of the population consider all of the above mentioned sources to get information
about products relevant.

Only 17% gets information through ‘word of mouth’.

Last but not the least ‘family & friends are also considered a best source of information’

Interpretation

Nearly 38% of the population buys product ‘whenever necessary’.

About 32% of the population buys product ‘weekly’

About 25% of the population buys product ‘monthly’

Only 5% of the population buys product ‘daily’

Interpretation

According to the survey conducted it can be clearly depicted that most of the respondents are concerned
about the price of the product rather than packaging.

30% of the population aren’t sure about their decision.

Approximately 23% of the population are against the statement.

Only 10% are in favour of buying a product if it has an attractive packaging.

Interpretation

Nearly half of the population considers packaging is essential to keep the product safe.

14 out of 60 respondents consider packaging is necessary to prevent the product from damage.

Some of them think ‘to attract potential customers’ is the main aim of packaging.

Only 8% of the population says the main role of packaging is ‘to ease transportation’.

Only 3 respondents consider all of them are important use of packaging.

Interpretation

Huge public would be willing to purchase the same product with a separate packet only if the price is
consistent.

32% of the population would confidently buy the product inspite of the packet being different.

Approximately, 18% of the population would only buy the product if they feel the packaging of the latter
product to be more attractive.

Only 15% of the population disagreed with the statement.

The survey was conducted taking sixty respondents into consideration. Out of which 32 were female and
28 were male respondents.

The highest number of respondents belong to the age group between 19-30 and least below 18.

30% of the population were in the age group between 31-60.

The respondents who are either employed or has business belong to the ncome group of Rs 200001-
500000 (20 respondents).
22 of them were students, therefore they have no income.

20% of the population earn income up-to 200000.

Only 6 respondents belong to a high income group which varies between 500001-1000000.
