ABSTACT

The last two decades around the world have observed a universal recognition of the potential of

information and communication technology (ICT) in addressing the challenges of education. In

our country at National level as well at Provincial levels the Governments have recognized the

importance of ICT in reforming the Education Systems.

The Government of Khyber Pukhtoonkhawa has introduced several ICT initiatives and projects

with aid agencies and international and regional organizations to transform the education system.

Information and Communication Technology application has led to changes the way educational

institutions carry out activities and processes not only limited to teaching and learning process or

monitoring of students ‘progress but it has impact in education administrative processes and

management.

ICTs has the potential in terms of time saving, accuracy, legibility, data storage, record check,

and amenable for further references, comparative statements, task calculations, and preparation

of report of school activities and performances as those principal the indicated frequent and high

used ICTs also indicated a more efficient administrative planning, organizing, controlling,

implementing and monitoring activities in their schools.
