F. Objectives
1. To employ the parts of contemporary dancing which include the beginning, middle and

2. To create a combination of cheers and yells to be performed with the cheer dance routine
with the intention of motivating others to engage in cheer dancing activities.
3. To perform a cheer dance routine with mastery and synchrony, completeness of the
routine, difficulty (intensity level), and teamwork; and
4. To maintain a healthy and lifestyle through cheer and contemporary dancing.
5. To let students do away in making their assignments, outputs, projects, researches, role
play etc.in order for them to relax and refresh themselves from all these pressures.
G. Scope
In today’s time, our society is dominated by computers, a lot of change has happened that
have taken away the very essence of our physicality as human beings: the opportunity to move. A
massive shift from physical labor to school/classroom jobs, engagement in passive forms of
entertainment and recreation, and development of a sedentary lifestyle are just but natural
consequences of the luxury offered by the advancements in science and technology.
Increased weight gain has led leading to obesity, development of heart diseases, diabetes,
and certain types of cancer just some of the eventual disadvantages of physical inactivity. This is
the very reason why cheer dancing and contemporary dancing are introduced as a means to achieve
healthy living.
It is fitting and timely that these topics are included in the MAPEH subject so that as
early as now, before the students enter the work force, the students will be able to make informed
decisions regarding their lifestyle choices and practices that will help the students become fit,
healthy and productive member of the society.
