SAML Steps

FOR CREATION OF NEW APP:

1. Access the following URL: https://spartasystemsdev.oktapreview.com and login with


valid credentials and click on Admin button.

2. Click on Applications tab.


3. Click on +Add Application button.

4. Click on Create New App button and select the following options and click on create
button.
5. Enter the App name (Any name) and click on Next button.

6. Enter the Trackwise application’s login screen url and select EmailAddress as the option
for Name ID format field and click on Next button.
7. Select 2nd option and click on Finish button.

8. Click on View Setup Instructions button.


9. Click on Download certificate button and download the certificate.

10. Login to WebAdmin and open Authentication Sources under Login Accounts of User
Management.
11. Click on New button and select SAML IdP option under Type field and provide
appropriate name (value) for the Name field.
12. Check Is Force Authentication Supported? Checkbox and click on OK button.
13. Copy the Identity Provider URL and paste it in the Identity Provider Login URL field and
select Federated ID as the option for SAML Assertion Identity Type field.
14. Copy the Identity Provider Issuer and paste it in the Issuer field.
15. Click on the Browse button and select the downloaded certificate and click on Save
button.

16. Click on Login Accounts and User Management. Open login details of any login account
and select SAML IdP (created) option for Authentication Source field and provide the
Email Id of the okta account as the value for Federated ID field and click on Save button.
17. Click on Authentication Sources under Login Accounts of User Management and open
the created Authentication Source (SAML).

18. Click on Test button. Okta login page opens in a new window. Enter valid okta
credentials and click on Sign In button.
19. Close the browser window and click on Test button to see the below output on valid
authentication.
FOR EDITING/UPDATING THE EXISTING APP:

1. Access the following URL: https://spartasystemsdev.oktapreview.com and login with


valid credentials and click on Admin button.

2. Click on Applications tab.


3. Click on the instance/app which needs to be modified.
4. Click on General link and click on Edit button.

5. Follow from Step 5 of FOR CREATION OF NEW APP.


Note: If there’s authentication problem/error, follow the below steps.
1. Follow Steps 1, 2 & 3 of FOR UPDATING THE EXISTING APP.
2. Click on Show Advanced Settings link.

3. Copy the value of Issuer field and paste it in the SAML Issuer Id field and continue
the steps for modifying the existing app.
STEPS TO LOGIN FOR TRACKWISE:
1. Open the TrackWise splash screen.

2. Click on Log In To TrackWise link. Enter only the login account username and select the
appropriate timezone and Click on Log In button.
3. Enter valid okta credentials in the okta login page and click on Sign In button. On
successful login, the user will be taken to the desktop of TrackWise application.
