I hardly ever see my best friend Liz anymore. She has a job at the new Internet cafe in town. She works Monday,
Wednesday and Thursday nights. She also works every other Saturday. Liz really likes her job. She makes coffee, tea
and all kinds of fruit smoothies. Liz makes a really great banana and strawberry smoothie. It's my favorite, actually! Liz
also makes sandwiches, pasta and pizza. I like the sandwiches that Liz makes, but I really don't like the pizza. There's
too much tomato sauce and not enough cheese. Of course, there are many other delicious foods to order at the cafe. Liz
and I usually hang out together every day. We talk about our school work, music, clothes, friends and most importantly,
boys! But now that Liz works so often, we don't talk as much, and I really miss her. Don't get me wrong...I'm glad Liz
has a job. She wants to buy a car, so the money she earns from this job is very helpful. And when she gets her car, she
can drive me around! So while Liz has this job, I visit her at the cafe. Liz gets a half-hour break at 7:30 in the evening
and at 2:30 on Saturday. I try to visit her at the cafe about once a week. She gets to sit down and rest while I tell her all
about my day. I guess it's not that bad. Liz makes a really great cup of coffee now!
