Static Route - known as non-adoptive routing which doesn’t change routing table unless the network

administrator changes or modify them manually. It does not use complex routing algorithms and
provides high or more security than dynamic route.

Dynamic Route – known as adaptive routing which change routing table according to the change of
topology. It uses complex routing algorithms and it does not provide high security. When the network
change (topology) occurs, it sends the message to router to ensure that changes then the routes are
recalculated for sending updating routing information.

Connectionless packet is data switching which Ethernet and Internet-Protocol (IP) are the dominant
technologies. Each packet, in its header, contains complete addressing information that can be
conveyed via different routes, some quite circuitous while connected-oriented is virtual circuit switching
incorporates a connection identifier rather than an address in each header. This removes some bulk
from the transmitted data packets but in necessitates a preliminary set up phase before transmission
can begin.
