Morgan Marrow Company Supports and Funds Research for Pancreatic

Cancer 17 Years After Death of Clients Mother

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – 27 May 2020. For 17 years Morgan Marrow has supported

the Seena Magowitz Pancreatic Cancer Foundation by attending events and donating an average

of $10 thousand annually. Along with the company’s monetary donation comes the donation of

their company’s time. Every year a select few from the company travel to Arizona, Boston, or

Florida for a span of three days to support the research of pancreatic cancer as well as their

client, Roger Magowitz.

Morgan Marrow Company has consistently supported the Seena Magowitz Foundation since the

start in 2003 when their client lost his mother to this illness. Historically the foundation has been

hosted in Arizona on the first weekend of Dec. About 10 years after the start of the foundation it

decided to move to the East Coast and was held in Boston on the first weekend of Aug. for the

next three years. In more recent years the foundation returned to their roots of Arizona, where the

memories of Seena Magowitz live on.

Every year a team of 4 to 8 employees at Morgan Marrow, facilitated by James Sim, gather in

the chosen location to show support for Roger and his foundation. The dedication and loyalty

that this company shows its clients is unsurpassable, further illuminating the strong ties of this

family business.

While remaining focused on the business aspect of their company Morgan Marrow also makes it

a point to recognize that their business is a family and their clients are treated as such. Agreeing

to be a client for Morgan Marrow means much more than having an insurance provider by your

side. Being a client means there is always someone there for you, especially in the times when

your actual family cannot be.

The company prides itself on supporting their clients in other endeavors such as the Seena

Magowitz Foundation. Roger Magowitz once said, “Time became my enemy, so I took off my

watch.” While this statement came in light of Roger’s lack of time with his mother, Morgan

Marrow was inspired to embody this phrase into the business by choosing to eliminate time as a

factor with their clients. There is no time frame in which they work in, this company is about

being there for their clients and aiding them in their needs.

ABOUT Morgan Marrow Company

Morgan Marrow Company was started in 1904 when M. H. Morgan bought some insurance
accounts. Harry Marrow then joined with the intention of becoming a partner and while the name
of the company was changed Harry Marrow never consummated the agreement. In the later
1900s both of M. H. Morgan’s sons, J.B. Morgan and Edwin J. Morgan joined the company,
creating the family business dynamic. After the passing of M. H. Morgan, Mr. John E. Sim
joined the agency. Together John E. Sim and John B. Morgan II took over the business until both
their retirements in 1996, when sons J. Michael Sim, J. Stuart Sim and Edwin J. Morgan Jr took
over. Today the agency continues to be family owned by Edwin J. Morgan Jr. as well as J. Stuart
Sim and J. Michael Sim. The company continues to be a family legacy ensuring that meaning of
family with their clients.
