Subject: Revised Academic Plan till August 2020- Important timelines

Dear Students,

In continuation to our efforts in sync with Govt. guidelines, we remain committed to make sure that learning
never stops in these challenging times. Online academic activities, online examination and access to globally
accredited resources are some of the steps we have taken to make sure that even when the country is in a state
of lockdown, professional and personal development of our students are not compromised.

Current Pandemic (COVID – 19) Situation in Uttarakhand and India

I am sure you all aware the government has declared lockdown 4.0 till 31st May. The decision on the public transport for

Subject: Coronavirus (COVID19) - Important Advisory

Dear Students,

In line with the recent confirmed cases of coronavirus in India and as a precautionary
measure, following advisory is being issued.

1. Travel advisory – While we would recommend to avoid travel – both international & within India for
both students & employees – All Industrial visits/ any other travel planned in next 2-3 weeks stand
postponed till further notice. All events that involve large gatherings and groups coming together are
being postponed for now. All students planning to travel at personal level are also strongly advised to hold
back the plans. In case it is urgent please make sure that you follow all precautions, minimise the use of
airports and public transport.

2. Holi celebration- Holi Celebration in campus is strictly prohibited for this year. Any student found
playing with colours or water may invite disciplinary action. We also strongly advise to avoid playing Holi
outside campus for your own safety, it might increase the probability of catching cold/ cough etc.

3. Help your friends- In case you discover any student suffering from any of the symptoms, please help
them reach out to Infirmary or a doctor. Students suffering from any of the symptoms are advised to stay
back and not attend classes till the time they are perfectly fit.

4. Be Safe: Please note the following too that should be followed to be safe. These are every simple yet
helpful practices.

·                If  you or someone in the family or someone in immediate proximity has travelled to any  of the
places in Category A, they need to be isolated for 14 days through the incubation period.

·         Wash
hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water
are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. We are making sanitizers
available for all.
·         Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

·  Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Stay home when you are

sick!  Please do not come to work if you are feeling sick. If you have fever of over
98.6F, stay at   home until you are fever-free for 48 hours without the aid of any
medication.
·         Cover
your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. One
can reduce droplet spread by sneezing/ coughing into your elbow as well.

·         Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

·         Avoid
exchange of personal belongings such as bottle, lunch boxes , napkins etc.
as this acts as carriers of infections
Avoid shaking hands and instead fold your hands (Namaste) as a greeting. Let’s
·
teach and practice this rich cultural tradition which is also EXTREMELY HYGIENIC in
light of today’s situation to prevent the infection!!

Campus is also following all sanitization and disinfecting protocols regularly, so please do
cooperate with them and be part of this drive to be safe than be sorry.
We’ve always heard – prevention is better than cure so let’s practice this and be safe.
