This isn’t a situation anyone asked for yet
we’re all in it. It’s important to recognize this
situation for what it is; a response to a crisis.
Each one of us is doing our small part to make
the world safer. Thank you.

Self-Care Challenge
Boundaries are tough! Keep these six things in mind while working from home:
1. Keep office hours
It’s easy to just always be working when you can’t physically drive away from work. Keep a
routine of getting dressed and then “head to work” so you don’t fall into a habit of working
the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep.
2. Set a stop time
There is always going to be “one more thing” but working longer hours actually slows
productivity and quality.
3. Set technology boundaries
Notifications going off all the time? Consider changing settings during “home” hours. If you
write emails at late hours, consider using the timed send feature so your recipients don’t feel
pressure to keep your hours as well.
4. Organize your work space and prioritize
It’s easy to get drawn into issues that derail your day. Set a task list and try to stick to it
allowing time for urgent issues that may arise.
5. Acknowledge your zones of focus
Are you most alert from 9:00-11:00 am? Try and block those times for your most pressing
work. Feel drained around 2:00 pm? Schedule a brisk walk or something fun with a family
member!
6. Take breaks
Research says we need a brain break every 90-120 minutes. Make a policy to not eat in front
of your screen and schedule a lunch break. Set a time to get exercise each day.
