Instructions:

Students will choose between different commercials and ads to analyze and interpret. Then they will record a
video response explaining why they chose what ad, what they think is being said implicitly, and why they think
that. Students must also include some combination of at least 5 instances of level grammar and vocab
correctly. Video should be uploaded to Flipgrid or similar, or submitted however the instructor prefers.
Alternatively, a voice note on Whatsapp could suffice.

Readings and listenings are included in the PPT created for students.

Instructions:

Students will choose one of two topics and consume a minimum of two readings and/or listenings providing
different viewpoints on their chosen topic. Students will fill out a brief “pre-discussion” worksheet and then in a
discussion board, students will post their opinions with explanation. Students will need to use advantages and
disadvantages found in the readings and listenings, as well as their own opinions and knowledge in their post.
Then students should comment on at least one other student’s post.
