Well you know, the point I’d like to begin with is that. I have a
small family. To be more specific, there are my parents, my young
brother and me. As well as that I could say that, my family live in a
house in Thu Duc district. It is a quite small house. However, we are
a very close-knit family. We depend on one another and spend lots
of time together. Something else that I need to comment on is that
my parents are really supportive and always willing to help me out
when a problem comes up. On top of that, my brother and me get
along very well we are very much alike. In my family I never feel
lonely at all because there are always lots of interaction. We always
make the wonderful thing for each other. In my life my family is my
energy help me come over when I fall.

What food do you like?

Well in general I would say that, I pretty keen on Japanese
traditional food. To be more precise, I really into sushi. And I guess
this is probably because fresh fish combines with rice add a little hot
of wasibi. it is so delicious. To add to this, I simply adore
Vietnamese food. To be more specific, I’m quite partial to
vegetarian meals this is might be because, health is god’s gift and it
is important to keep up with your health. So Three days every week,
I just eat fruits and vegetables. What I mean is that It helps me lose
weight, lower risk of developing cancer and healthier cholesterol
levels.
What color do you like?
Well in general I would say that, I pretty keen on the light colors. To
be more precise, I really into the color blue. And I guess this is
probably because it is the color of my high school class and always
helps my class confidence when we play game in school together.
To add to this, I’m quite partial the symbolism of the light colors. To
be more specific, I’m simply adore the color red this is might be
because it reminds me of Tet holiday which is the time I have a
family get together.
 What sports do you like?
Well in general I would say that I’m pretty keen on indoor sports. To
be more precise, I really into badminton. I guess this is probably
because it is a physical activity so it helps me lose my weight and
increase cardio. Specially, I have an amazing feeling of
accomplishment. To add to this, I’m quite partial to some outdoor
sports. To be more specific, I simply adore football, this is might be
because it is the king of sports. In fact, I feel so comfortable when
play football because I play football in natural environment.
What book do you like?
Well in general I would say that, I’m really into type of book. To
more precise, I really into self-help book. And guess this is probably
because it gives me thinking better. To add to this, I’m quite partial
to action and adventure book. To be more specific, I simply adore
harry potter. This is might be because when I read this book, I feel I
could step into the adventure of the character. Which means it is so
attraction.
What music do you like?
Well in general I would say that, I’m really into music. To be more
precise I really into acoustic music. And I guess this is probably
because the acoustic song expresses my mood. To add to this, I’m
quite partial to EDM music. To be more specific I simply adore a lot
of songs of Alan Walker. This is might be because which give me
energy.

Don’t like about your school
Well in general I would say that, I’m not so keen on my middle
school. To be more precise, I’m not much into the toilet. And I guess
this is probably because it has bad smell, not clean. To add to this,
I’m not so partial to the canteen. To be more specific, I’m not much
of a fan of the food and the drink which are not just expensive they
are not also varied.
What food you don’t like?
Well in general I would say that, I’m not so keen on spicy food. To
be more precise, I’m not so into My Cay. And I guess this is
probably because it is not good for my stomach. To add to this, I’m
not much partial to sweet food. To be more specific I’m not much of
a fan of donuts. This is might be because it has a lot of sugar, and
sugar is not good for your health.

HOW/WHERE OFTEN.
Where often do you go to shopping?
Actually to be fair, I imagine that It would depend on the situation.
You know like, to be exact If I have a lot of money then I will most
likely go shopping in Gucci in district 1, because I’d love the luxury.
Whereas in contrast If I have a little money then it’s more likely that
I’ll go shopping in night market of university village. Because there,
the bargains could find anywhere.
How often do you go to the cinema?
Actually to be fair, I imagine that It would depend on the situation.
You know like, to be exact If I have a lot of time then I will most
likely go to cinema to watch movie, because my house is not close
to the cinema. It takes me about one hour to get to cinema. Whereas
in contrast If I have a little time then it’s more likely that I’ll stay at
home watch movie in my smart phone. Because I can save one hour
to go to cinema to study.
 DAY1
Can you tell me something about yourself?
Okay then, the first thing I should mention is that My name is Quoc
An. I’m originally from An Giang province. However, I’ve left my
home town and moved here for higher education. I’m a senior at
HMC city university of Agriculture and forestry. I chose
Automotive engineering technology as my major because when I
was younger I had a real enthusiasm for automobile. As a matter of
fact, In the next year, I hope to have graduated from my university
and be working as an engineer.
How would you describe your personality?
Well, you know It’s really difficult to describe me. One thing I can
say is that I’m hard-working and eager to learn. Therefore, I have a
sense of humor and is really fun to be around. Additionally, I really
enjoy problem solving and challenging work. On top of that I’m
really understanding people around me and a people person.

DAY 2
Can you tell me about your previous job experience, please?
Well, the first thing you need to know is that I’m in university life,
so I haven’t had major job yet. Therefore, my part-time job doesn’t
give me major experience. But in the next month, I’m going to work
in diesel engine repair service of garage Toyota district 1 as an
intern. Which means I would learn a lot about job experience.
How did you like the company?
Well, the first of all in the next month I’m going to intern in the
company, that is my opportunity to approach work environment. So
I like the company.
 Why are you leaving?
Well, you know. One thing I can say is that I would like to look for a
job with more responsibility and flexibility. In fact, I want to
develop myself.

What kind of job is ideal for you?

Well the first thing you need to know is that, my ideal job would be
working as an engineer in automobile industry. I’d like to work at
the place, it is close to my home town. Because, well you know
home sweet home I don’t want to live far out of my family.
Additionally, I really into the job it gives me opportunities to expand
horizons, develop myself, build up my skills and confidence.
Moreover, I must have a good salary, the workload without tress and
the benefits are good such as the day off or travel overseas annual
and Health insurance. Since after work I need to recharge and health
is god’s gift it is very important to keep up with your health so I
want to medical check-ups annual.
Could you describe your ideal job?
Well you know, it’s actually the only place where I can do whatever
I like. I live with my enthusiasm, I work with all of my energy and
don’t realize I’m working. Additionally, the work environment is
full of wonderful people, they always make wonderful things for
each other
What kind of hours would you prefer?
Now I’m still studying in university so I’m flexible, but when
graduate I have a job, I prefer stable hours. Because it helps me
arrange my life easily.
 What kind of hours would you like?
Well, I’d like daytime hours on the week. But I really want to have
Sunday off. Since, now I live in HCM, in Sunday we can hang out
without heavy traffic.

What is your greatest strength?
Well you know, my initial point would be that I could see the
patterns easily and give enough information such as diagram of the
wiring system in automotive. So I think My greatest strength could
be detail-oriented.
And what about your weaknesses?
The first of all, the main thing you need to know is that my
weakness could be experience. In fact, I’m still studying in
university. Therefore, my internship is just a month. Which just give
me an opportunity to approach work environment. So I think I need
to get more experience.
Do you have any special skills that would help you do your job?
The first of all, the point I’d like to begin with is that, I’m pretty
good with computers. Specially, I’ve used Microsoft office a lot.
Therefore, I’m improving my English and major software skills.

DAY 5
Do you have any specific diet?
Well you know the first thing I should mention is that I’m a non-
vegetarian. Every day, my foods are meat, milk, eggs and fish. But I
usually eat vegetarian meals two days of every month on first and
fiftieth.

Do you like playing sports?

Yes and no, I just play sports to improve my healthy. As a matter of
fact, yesterday I played badminton, today I play football, tomorrow I
would just go walking that’s okay, I have no idea.
How many times a week do you play a sport or exercise?
Well it depends on my schedule, Four or five times a week. I go
walking in the morning and work out at the gym on the afternoon.

DAY 7
What is your favorite activity?
Well, for a long time, I have prepared for my future so I don’t spend
my time to play game. But I spent one hour to play game recently
and I realized that my favorite activity is gaming. In fact, it helps me
unwind, I feel totally free. What mean is that, it’s actually the place
where I can be whoever I want and do whatever I like. Because
when I start playing a game. I can build the character around my like
such as create the character looks, qualities, kind of person, choose a
name and control the character action. Finally, that character will
symbolize me in the new world imaginary world.

Have you ever done any volunteer work?
Okay then, the main thing you need to know is that, I have to
prepare for my future so I rarely participate volunteer work, as a
matter of fact I just do that in my university such as last year I
enjoyed Welcome Day helped freshman to complete their files for
signing up and I also take in Blood Donation. In fact, these works
give me a sense of self-worth.
DAY 8
What is your favorite color?
my favorite color is red. To me, it symbolizes Tet holiday. What I
mean to say is that, it reminds me of happiness and have a family get
together.
Is there a color that you don’t like?
Actually, I don’t like light grey color of fog. It makes me feel bleak.
Do seasons represent symbolic messages in your country?
Yes, they do. For instance, in my country summer conveys youth.
What I mean is that it reminds me of the good memories when I was
younger. Such as I went to fly a kite with my primary friends and
went to picnic with my high school friends. I really treasure it.
Do colors have some symbolic meaning in your country?
Yes, they do. Different colors symbolize different concepts. For
example, the color red has a special meaning to us. To be more
specific, in times of happiness and togetherness, we use this color to
bring any wonderful things to people. As a matter of fact, in the
Vietnamese culture, the color gold conveys prosperity, royalty and
change.
Which of the four seasons of the year appeals to you most?

Actually, I suppose that for the most part I’d probably say that I
simply adore the sky and weather of rainy season. To be more
specific, the sky is not over sunshine and the weather is not too hot
and not too cold. This might be because when I hang out, I feel so
comfortable.

DAY 10
How do you like your university life?
the university life isn’t as easy as I imaged. I have to prepare plenty
of things for the future, which make me so tired but I always
overcome to have a good future. On top of that I can also add that, I
met some wonderful people. To me going to Ho Chi Minh City
University is not just about studying hard and getting a degree it’s
also about developing and maturing as a person and taking
advantage of a vast number of job opportunities.
What did you like most about your university?
I really into many things about my university. It was a new
challenge and an opportunity to expand my horizons. I simply adore
a good program of automotive engineering. I’m studied with
combining between the real experience and the major theory.
Tell me about your educational goals?
Well, my educational goals in the future. I want to get my BE in
automotive engineering from my university. Because I believe
having a degree at that level will benefit my future career. If I
could I’d love to continue my education in an English-speaking
country. Because I want to broaden my horizons and build up my
skill and confidence. Maybe when I finish my education in
university. I could get a job, make a lot of money. Because now I
really want to buy an apartment for myself

Do you still remember you school days?
Well, the carefree days. What I mean to say is that I had no worries.
Additionally, it contains lots of my good memories about my
hometown, my friends in primary school. in that days we went fly a
bite together, so many friends and I went to school together, early

Yes, there are. In addition to the public system, my country has a
private system of higher education. Therefore, Private system
provides a good education with the high tuition.
What method of learning works best for you?
Okay then, the point I’d like to begin with is that, I have well-
established study habits. Therefore, I almost always start at eight in
the morning. I study for three hours. Then take my lunch and for
lunch. Then I will start studying at one in the afternoon for three
hours if I don’t have a school schedule. in the evening I often study
for two hours when I come back home from my school or? . I follow
this approach during the weekdays. But over the weekend, I do it the
same but I have the evening off. In fact, I don’t think cramming the
night before the exam can ever help.
DAY14
Which language do you like most?
Now I like English. Because it is very important to me I’d love to
continue my education in an English-speaking country. English is an
international language used by everybody, everywhere. If my
English is good, I can travel overseas without feeling cut out of the
wider world. Another reason is that English gives me a good future.
Because It is considered as a necessary requirement most of the
educational and employment opportunities and helps me to reach my
goals.
What do you do to improve your English?
Well you know, now English is important to me to my job to my
future. To learn more natural English. I practice with my
Vietnamese teachers and native English teachers. And then they fix
my mistake. After that I practice by myself until native.
How often do you speak or use English?
Well you know, now I’m improving my English in Viet Hieu and in
my university almost not use English. So I think in the future, I
would use English in work, when I travel overseas. I teach English
for my siblings.
Why are you trying to improve your English?
Well, English is an international language use by everybody
everywhere. It gives me a better prospect, a good job, good future
and expands my way. So to have wonderful things I should try to
improving my English.
Why are you taking English courses?
For a longtime I have studied English in public school but my
English don’t develop. but I really want to use, speak and
understand English. So I’m taking English courses to find a new
method to improve my English.

DAY 16
What is your weakness at work?
Well now, I’m still studying in university. So I’d like to say my
weakness at university, I found. Every day I just study for about 5
hours and I can’t try to continue to study because I feel saturated.
I think my weakness is my persistence. I don’t study really hard.
What is your occupational goal for the future?
 Well, my occupational goals in the future. I want to get my BE in
automotive engineering from my university. Because I believe
having a degree at that level will benefit my future career. If I
could I’d love to continue my education in an English-speaking
country. Because I want to broaden my horizons and build up my
skill and confidence. if my family can’t afford it I finish my
education in university. I could get a job, make a lot of money.
Because now I really want to buy an apartment for myself.
If you could start again, what career decisions would you
make differently?
Well I’m not kind of person who looks with regrets. I prefer to
invest my energy looking forward. If I could start again, I would
probably choose a career in information technology. Because it is
the second career gives me a sense of self-work behind my present
career.

DAY 17
How would you describe your boss?
Well you know, now I’m in university life. So I will talk about
my mentor. I would say my mentor is a dedicated teacher and
very supportive. Because he is always willing to help me out
when a problem comes up, explains any things I don’t understand
and helps me to finish my project on time.
How do you think your colleagues would describe you?
Like I said I’m in university life. To I think my friends at my
university might describe me as someone who is outgoing, a
people person and a devoted class member. Because in my class
I’m a source of funny and often support my friend in their project.
 How do you think your boss would describe you?
Well my teacher often says that I need to learn a lot, I am not
hard-working. But I know he always use weaknesses and
mistakes to me to improve myself. However, sometimes he gives
me a good comment. Such as well you have a great talent to
repair device.
Do you work best by yourself or as part of a team?
Actually. I’m always happy to work alone when required. But I
work best by as part of a team. Because in work when I have
some company who works for themselves and the group, we can
support for each other, give lots of good ideas, develop the goal
of group together. I think it will help the work is more perfect.
But sometimes in a team would have the personal problems.
However, in my team we always use the soft way to solve the
personal problems. Such as we have a personal talk of the team or
between two members are had problems and leader of my team.
