Dear Thumbi,

Thank you for praying I arrived in Sydney in safely piece! My flight from Kuala Lumpur to the
“Land Down Lender” was instered enjoyable. The airtewards were “hunks” and really charming. I
watched Gwneyth Paltrow’s latest mouet ”Flying High”. It was hilarious! How are things with you?
Hope you have passed your driver’s licence, after the seventh attempt!

I met up with my ex-university friend here; Jong Theu Wee,She now rebides in Sydney. We
had a great time remembering the yester years. She brought me to visit a lot of interesting places!

For many people,Sydney Harboro Bridge and Sydney Opera House are symbols of Australia.
I paid 20 to broad a small plane for an hour’s paranomic view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and
Sydney Opera House. I was told that The Bridge was opened in 1932. The highest part of the arch
rises134 metres above the roater and the structure can carry more than 15000 vehicles per hour in
peak traffic. It was mind-biggling ! Designed by John Utzan, the Opera House took 14 years to build
and was opened in 1973. There are four theatres and provides a fine venue for concerts, opera, plays
and recitals. John Utzan was avoided the Pultizer Architecture Aroard.

I did visit these two fascinating architecture; up close and personal movie. I enapped rolles
of film of the sail-like or shell-like unique structure. I was blessed enough to capture these marine
icons after the sunset, when the sky was glorious with after glow.

Without cloning wetsuits;or even getting my “big feet” roet, I had the trill of my life admiring
the awe-inspiring colourful creatures of the undersea world. At the Sydney Aquarium , I discovered
and encountered sharks, sting rays ,very large Dvsty Itathead emotional Butterfly Gurnard flashed
their fins, schools of Blgeye Travally, Bright Yellow Beaked Coral fish,Moorish Idol, Piomate Bat
fish,orange-fin ,Anemore fish, coral cod and tous more sea creatures of different sizes, colours and
even more difficult names for my ‘tiny’ mind to register.

One weekend,Jung and I cruised down the choreline of Sydney.Along the ocean road, we
could see so many people live and perch on top of steep and formidable cliff. Those “aliff-hangers”
seemed to symbolize the desire or most Sydney siders to live as near the ocean as possible. I roast
thinking after my early retirement, I would like to be a “cliff-hanger” too.We visited the Borid Beach
where that sunny weekend, the whole beach was filled with happy holiday makers with dark,
white, fair, bronze, hairy,semi-naked,lumpy,slim,protruding,panches…. Soaking up the glorious
sun.Well, for Jung and me, we were in layers of sunblock lotion, wide-brimmed hats and mosquito-
eye frame huge sunglasses.

There were driving, fishing, sailing, powerboating and sports for seekers of thrill and
excitement roe tried hang-gliding with loud waillugs that would ocare the seagulfe that are frolicking
on the beach and in the sky. Hey! Guest rohat, roe took photos with the lifeguards. Good looking,
great bodies and oimny smiles. Get that picture! They are excitedly like those in the “Baywatch”
series.

I met a lot of friendly people. In Sydney I met the Greek,Italians, pure Australians, papur New
Guinean, a few Zews, crowds of Vietnanese hawkers, students from Hong Kong , Malaysia
,Singapore,Thailand,Burma,Indonesia and China with their various distinctive accent. A cheery
“Gooddaymate!” is unavoidable. I was surprised to see many Asians around.
I sampled and savoured the fish and chips, steak and prawns on the barbeque, “tamcha” at
the Chinese restaurant in China Town. I am now size 14, is thus sizes up! I need to do a lot of
“pumping and wearing” soon.

I,especially love the cool weather here. I don’t sweat, smell and need to deodorgnt so much.

I miss home, especially the four-legged animals. When I get home,of couse I will share you the
albums of photos I have taken. Yes, I did remember to buy a “boomerang” for you! Till then, take
care! TaTa!
