Honda City Toyota Corolla

(Comparison and Contrast Essay)

“Why do you want to buy Honda City instead of Toyota Corolla?” Chaudhry Sahib asked his
son. The son replied, “Honda City is better than Toyota Corolla in many ways”. Then he started
comparing both the cars. (Reader’s Hook). Actually, selection of cars in Pakistan is quite
difficult because of almost similar features in different variety of cars (General Statement).
Many Pakistanis are buying Honda City instead of Toyota Corolla because of its unique design,
comfortability and price (Thesis Statement). In short, Honda City is selling like hot cakes
(Transitional Hook).

One difference in Honda City and Toyota Corolla is that of their shape and design. Honda City
has unique and attractive design. For example, its antennae is dove shaped which is not
introduced yet in Toyota Corolla. It has beautiful chrome plated front grill with curves and
designs which make the car more attractive. It has beautifully designed interior with good color
scheming of seats and spaciously designed seats while Toyota Corolla lacks these characteristics.
Therefore, Honda City is better in design than Toyota Corolla.

Another difference between these two is that Honda City is more comfortable and you can cover
long distances without any feeling of tiredness while Toyota Corolla is less comfortable and the
passenger may get tired. The interior is not that much comfortable. If one wants to use Toyota
Corolla for short distances, he can use it. While Honda City urges us to travel long and hazel free
distances in less cost. So Corolla is not that much comfortable.

Another contrast between these two cars is that of price. Honda City gives more features and
comfort in less price as compared to Toyota Corolla. Although few versions of Corolla are at the
same price as that of City but they lack many comfortabilities. The price is so reasonable that
even a middle class person can afford it easily. This is the reason that many people are buying
Honda City instead of Toyota Corolla.

At last, the son succeeded in convincing Chaudhry Sahib to buy him Honda City because of its
incomparable features and uniqueness of design and most importantly, its price. Chaudhry Sahib
became satisfied as the car saves his money. So, he concluded that Honda City is better than
Toyota Corolla that’s why many Pakistanis are buying it.
