T ECHNOLOGIES FOR S TUDYING

(P ART 1)
1. Reading
Speaking Notepad is a notepad that speaks! It will read your
documents and notes aloud! It will even read every word or
sentence you are typing. Just imagine, how much easier it is
to listen to notes instead of reading them. Give a rest to your
eyes! With Speaking Notepad, you'll deal with school work
effortlessly.

2. Asking questions
Ask questions on Quora. What's really brilliant about Quora is
that users can pose questions to a core group of people who
are knowledgeable about certain subjects, and receive
answers. As opposed to a boring library, it's a social,
collaborative community of questions and answers. You can
use this as a straight source for your assignments and research
projects.

3. Recording lect ures

Use Snoozerr Recording to record lectures. For students who
sleep during lectures, Snoozerr helps you record lectures. You
can then listen to them later. If you are awake, you can take
and store pictures of the blackboard too.

You can also use Evernote. With Evernote, you can make notes,
take pictures and even record lectures. Plus, all these can be
arranged into folders with ease. It is perfect for anything you
want to remember. The app syncs across all your devices
including Mac, Windows and Android. Simply load up
Evernote on your home computer and all your notes are ready
and waiting for you right there. A free account allows you to
upload 60 MB of data a month, which is usually more than
enough.

4. Learning Mat hemati cs

Go to symbolab.com/solver/. You can learn to solve equations
step-by-step, while gaining an enhanced understanding of
algebra, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, and calculus.

Also, Microsoft Mathematics can help you with many tasks,

including logarithms, inequalities, trigonometry, complex
numbers, matrix and vector operations. It helps you evaluate
triangles, convert from one system of units to another, and
solve systems of equations. As well, it has a graphing
calculator.

5. Downloading lect ures

iTunes U helps you to download lectures, course materials,
presentations and related contents from top universities
around the world. That is, you can easily gather all the
materials necessary for a specific course no matter what
format they are, whether they are presentations, documents
or PDFs. The volume of materials out there is quite
astounding and you can learn pretty much any new skill using
international-grade material, from anesthesiology to
elementary Hausa.
6. Timetable
Use Class Timetable. It is a simple, but ingenious customisable
timetabling app. It helps you to keep track of your classes in
real time. It has optional multi-week timetables. As well, the
