M NEMONICS : A CRONYMS

When you have to remember information in a certain order,

create an acronym. It is a thrilling strategy to use. To create an
acronym, use the first letter of each piece of information to be
remembered. Sometimes, you’ll need to rearrange the
information in order to form a more recollectable name.
Examples:

Colours of the spectrum: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue,

Indigo, Violet = ROY G. BIV

In English, the 7 coordinating conjunctions: For, And, Nor,

But, Or, Yet, So = FANBOYS.

The order of operations for Math: Parentheses, Exponents,

Multiply, Divide, Add, and Subtract = PEMDAS

The order of the planets from the sun outward: Mercury,

Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune =
MY VERY EXCELLENT MOTHER JUST SERVED US NOODLES.

In anatomy, the eight small bones in the wrist: Navicular,

Lunate, Triquetrum, Pisiform, Multongular (Greater),
Multongular (Lesser), Capitate, Hamate = Never Love Three
Pastors, Mum Might Cause Havoc.

Here is a poem written by Edgar Allan Poe: Acrostic

Elizabeth it is in vain you say

“Love not” – thou sayest it in so sweet a way:

In vain those words from thee

Zantippe’s talents had enforced so well

Ah! If that language from thy heart rise,

Breath it less gently forth – and veil thine eyes.

Endymion, recollect, when Luna tried

To cure his love – was cured of all beside

His follie – pride – and passion – for he died.

The first alphabets of each line, if combined, form

ELIZABETH. Use the same trick when studying. You’ll be
amazed at the magnitude of what you can remember.
