UNITILE Access floors have the ability to adapt as technology progresses or business needs change. It provides the

easiest of installations, structural integrity and safety. A range of finishes available ensure an aesthetically excellent floor

UNITILE Access floors create a plenum space, where high concentrations of power / data cabling and other mechanical

services are concealed between the building floor slab and the raised access floor.

These underfloor services remain easily accessible due to the modular design of raised access floor system,

thus reducing reconfiguration costs and time of the distribution of critical building services.

UNITILE SOLID FILL UNITILE WOOD CORE UNITILE PERFORATED & GRATING

UNITILE Solid fill (USF) Panels :
USF panels measure 600mm x 600mm.
Panels are resistance welded before being
filled with a lightweight cementi-
tious infill. Each panel has hemispherical
reinforcing pockets on the underside to
enhance structural strength. USF panels are
non-combustible and are coated with
electrostatic epoxy paint. The USF panels
may be fitted into any UNITILE under-
structure and a wide range of floor coverings
are available.
UNITILE Wood core (UWC) Panels :
The panels are 600 x 600mm square with a
high-density chipboard core fully bonded
and encapsulated within a casing of
corrosion-resistant galvanized steel. The
panels are engineered to fine dimensional
tolerances for modular control, accurate
alignment of grids and inter-changeability of
panels and also for prevention of creep.

UNITILE Perforated & Grating Panels :
Perforated and Grating Panels use the
underfloor plenum to deliver over twice the
CFM of average floor tiles with a minimum
open area of 26 & 46 % respectively. They are
easily interchangeable with solid panels and
increase the ability to manage airflow
requirements & heat density by providing
superior cooling and ventilation for critical
applications. UNITILE Perforated & Grating
Panels come with a factory applied epoxy
powder coat finish to prevent corrosion and
is available in standard or heavy duty load
ratings with or without dampers and their
surface covering finish is tailored to match
finish of the solid panel.

The under-structure is the load bearing element on
which the access floor panels rest. It allows the floor to
be installed at heights of between 65mm and 1000mm
or more in special cases. Unitile under-structures
ensure rigidity, lateral stability and quiet performance
with a solid, secure feel under the feet. All systems and
under-structures offer an exceptionally high degree of
accessibility.

UNITILE ACCESS FLOOR UNDERSTRUCTURE

A comprehensive variety of under-structures to suit various Unitile panels is available
to meet all the differing requirements in each industry.

+ Edge Support Rigid Grid System

Edge support under-structure provides maximum floor
stability. It reduces all lateral movements and also
ensures integrity of the floor on removal of panels for
access to services in the sub-floor. Stringers are
mechanically fastened to the pedestal head and panels
are then placed on the grid formed. This system is ideal
for high finished floor heights.

+ Snap Lock Rigid Grid System

Snap lock under-structure is suitable for general office
and computer room applications. It provides high
stability by utilizing stringers which hold the floor and
pedestal head in position when panels are removed.
Stringers snap on and off without tools.

+ Corner - Lock System
This system is suitable for the widest variety of office applications.
Each floor panel is mechanically secured to the pedestal head at all
four corners ensuring maximum rigidity and lateral stability. Access
to the sub-floor is very simply achieved by releasing the fasteners
and lifting the panel.
+ Low - Lock System
Identical performance features as the UNITILE Corner lock system,
used for finished floor height as low as 65mm. With this system the
range of vertical adjustment is therefore limited.
+ Gravity Lay System (Woodcore)
The under-structure system suitable for high density woodcore
panels encapsulated in GI can be Gravity lay or Rigid grid. Access
to the sub-floor is very simply achieved by lifting the panels directly,
suitable for a finished floor height of upto 1000mm.
+ Corner Lock System (Woodcore)
The pedestal head of the Corner lock understructure is unique in
design and this system can accommodate bare panel without
stringers. It is provided with in built locator to lock the panel bottom
in position avoiding lateral movements. Corner lock systems are
normally used for open office plans and large perimeter areas and
are suitable for a maximum finished floor height of up to 1000mm.

4. All the specifications of UNITILE GI encapsulated wood / Calcium silicate core panels (UWC/WCS) are conforming to MOB PF2 PS - UK and its recommended test methods.
5. Fire performance: As per BS 476: Part 6: Index of Performance(Class 1) and BS 476: Part 7: Spread of Flame(Class 0).
6. The uniform load rating of an access floor panel as specified here should not be confused with the "Uniform live load" as specified in seismic zone application.

Floor Surface Finishes :
The covering of the panel is subject to wear and tear by usage and the finish has to be
selected depending on the application and traffic the floor would be subjected to.
The top surface of each panel may be covered with a variety of either loose lay at site
or permanently factory bonded finishes.
