The saga of The Witcher is a

series of novels and fantasy
tales written by the Polish
author Andrzej Sapkowski
between 1990 and 1999 and in
2013. The series consists of
two collections of short stories
and six novels, and tells the
adventures of Geralt of Rivia .

GERALT OF RIVIA
Geralt, originally from the city of Rivia, is
a Witcher: a mercenary who fights
monsters in exchange for money. He
grew up in Kaer Morhen from Vesemir,
another witcher who taught him to fight
and face the difficulties of their cruel life.
Witchers, due to mutations they have
had to take to increase their abilities, are
sterile and are not used to living
sedentary.
“Later they would say that the man had come from the north through the Cordai door. He
was on foot and led the loaded horse by the bridle. It was late afternoon, the stalls of ropes
and saddlers were already closed, the road deserted. Despite the heat, the man had a black
cloak thrown over his shoulders. It attracted attention. (...) Although not old, the stranger had
almost all white hair. He wore a worn leather doublet tied around his neck and arms. When
he took off his cloak, everyone noticed that he had a sword tied on his back with a belt ... "
