1.What is Apocalypto?
Apocalypto is a movie which emphasize the life of the tribesman who must escape
human sacrifice and rescue his family after the capture and destruction of his tribes at a
time when the Mayan Civilization is about to come to an end.This movie portray the
different ritual ceremonies adventure and sacrifices.Jaguar paw (Almost) comes to the
heavy struggles that give him strength on how to fight and remove his fear.

2.Why is the movie titled Apocalypto?

Apocalypse means an uncovering in religious contexts it is usually a disclosure of
something hidden, "a vision of heavenly secrets that can make sense of earthly
realities".It is entitled Apocalypto because it has a religious belief that the prophecy say
Jaguar paw set to kill the warriors specially the tribes or the group of his enemy Zero
wolf.

3.Cite or give scenes in the movie atleast 3 that depict apocalypto?

1. When to go inside the pannel and they see pictures on the wall depicting human
sacrifices.They are led to the top of a step pyramid they cut the head of a victim
and tossed down the steps and collected in the basket below. The same fate
befalls Curl Nose before Jaguar Paw is brought to the sacrificial pedestal. Seemingly
accepting his fate, he waits until the high priest stops due to a solar eclipse. The
priest announces to the clamoring crowd that their god is pleased and begs for the
sun to come back.
2. When they crosses along the forest they accuse a young girl who has a sick or a skin
decease on her face and hands, approaches the warriors but, when one of the
raider forcefully pushes her away, suddenly looks towards Jaguar Paw with a blank
expression. She then looks at a raider and prophesies their doom, warning of a
man who brings blackness of night and a jaguar, is reborn of mud and earth, and
who will bring those that will cancel out the sky and 'scratch you out'. She says that
this man is among them now.
3. One of the warrior dislikes the bad omen associated with killing the jaguar while
another warrior remembers the strange child's prophecy and remind him it was
foretold. Zero Wolf hushes them all, eager to find and kill Jaguar Paw. At one point,
the warrior approaches a tree where blue paint which Jaguar Paw rubbed onto the
tree, but he is bitten in the neck by an asp.
4. Jaguar Paw and his friends are taken to an old ball court where they are instructed
to run the length in pairs towards the forest at the end with a cynical promise of
freedom should they make it.They will run across and avoid the arrow flying over.

4 How did the Conflict start ? How was the conflict so?
The conflict start Jaguar Paw meet another tribe and one of this is a fisherman
addresess Jaguar paw that their village  was attacked and that they are seeking a new
beginning was attacked and that they are seeking a new beginning.He dreams and
notices fire torches quickly approaching the village. Warriors appear, igniting huts and
apprehending the villagers. Jaguar Paw takes his wife and son and puts them in a deep
cistern to hide. He ties a rope to a nearby rock so that they can climb out again before
running back to the village.But Jaguar Paw looking in the well thats why a raider cut the
rope connecting to the hole .The warrior want to covered all the men and women in the
tribes to become an offering and slaves in the city where they build.

5.Give your insight on the movie.

Like us we are invaded by the foreign people especially the Spaniards who influence
and cultivate us to make Pilipinos become slaves and serf to serve them.
The movie portray the images of the history of how people live in their country and the
rituals they are celebrated and believing in the prophecy.The movies show the
adventure and the true life of the tribal people on how they survive in the forest they
also have a leader who proctect them. And the leaders of the tribe have a followers who
will do anything that the leader will say.And they will have a punishment when they do
not obey it. Jaguar Paw is a strong man who survive all the obstacle happen in his life
he erase his fear and fight for his family because he promise to his wife that he will
come back to save them.
