Voice of the people
On love and forgiveness
I have wonderful friends that I love from all races.
I do not judge people by color but by actions and how
they respond to me. But I pray for everyone.
I have always loved children of all ages. My chil-
dren attended Franklin where I was blessed to be a
room mother to many children. I grew to know and
love each one and treated each alike, always with
hugs and encouragement.
We had parties for each holiday. I made sure each
child had a gift just alike. There were gifts, candy,
cupcakes, and Kool-Aid for everyone. Why? Because
I loved them. It was such a blessing for me and I
hope for them.
As I look back now since I have gotten older, I re-
alized how blessed I have been and still am. I am not
rich with money, but God has always provided for
me through family and friends. Sometimes we have
to forgive others the wrong they do. I learned a long
time ago that holding a grudge hurts me instead of
the one I wanted it to. So I forgave.
Is it easy? No, but it can be done with faith and
understanding that nobody is perfect.
I have had a lot of hurts and bad things happen
in life. My life has not been smooth or easy, but we
have to learn to take the bad with the good and be
thankful for all of it. Because it will make us stron-
ger. God gave us roses, but not without the thorns.
God is the judge of us all whether we like it or
not. Everyone will pay for every sin and action we
do. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but it will happen
