GCSO LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMARY


JUNE 1, 2020 – JUNE 7, 2020

On Monday, June 1, Abraham Doyal Peacock (42) was arrested in Calhoun County on a
Gulf County warrant. The warrant was for violating a restraining order which prohibited
him from communicating with another person. Deputy M. Peek investigated Peacock’s
communication violation, which was done by way of U.S. mail.

On Tuesday, June 2, William Sherrill Armstrong Jr. (45) was arrested at the Gulf County
Detention Facility on a warrant for Violation of Probation on the original charges of
Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, June 3, GCSO deputies were dispatched toward the Gulf/Bay county line
on Hwy 22 to assist Bay County Sheriff’s Deputies, who were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
The pursuit entered Gulf County and ended when the suspect crashed on Shorty Kemp
Road. Two suspects, identified as Michael Lee Brown (36) and Jefferson Thomas Marshall
(25), fled from the vehicle on foot into a wooded area. Marshall was located and turned
over to Bay County Deputies. Brown, who was the driver and person responsible for the
theft, was apprehended the next morning after a tip was called into the GCSO reporting
that a male subject was drinking water from a water hose behind a residence on Kemp
Cemetery Road. Investigator C. Harvey and Sgt. D. Sanders caught Brown hiding under
the Wetappo Creek bridge on Hwy 22.

On Friday, June 5, Deputy B. McCorvey arrested Sherry Ann Robinson (52) while on a
service call off of CR 386. Robinson was wanted on a Gulf County warrant for Violation of
Probation on the original charge of DWLS/R.

On Saturday, June 6, Deputy S. Alday executed an arrest warrant on Country Club Road
by arresting Thomas Edwin Johnson (30). Johnson was wanted for Violation of Probation
on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia.

On Sunday, June 7, Deputy B. McCorvey responded to a report of physical disturbance on
Iola Street in Oak Grove. An altercation between a cohabiting man and woman led to the
arrest of Joseph Dewayne Sewell (41). Sewell was charged with Battery by Strangulation.

On Sunday, June 7, Deputy S. Alday conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 71 near the
intersection of Myers Road on a vehicle for having an attached license plate that was not
assigned to it. The driver was identified as Danielle Nicole Gray (35) and it was revealed
that she did not have a valid driver’s license. During the course of the stop, it was also
revealed that Gray was in possession of methamphetamine. Gray was placed under arrest
and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, DWLS/R and Attaching Tag Not
Assigned.

On Sunday, June 7, Deputy S. Alday conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Hwy
98 and Court Street. During the course of the stop, consent was given to search the
vehicle, which revealed methamphetamine and a glass pipe inside the vehicle. The driver,
David W. Lee (58) was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of
Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
