0745 Arrived at the company. The intern has

been assigned with a task to monitor the
inner lines. The gap and line stops need to
be recorded and loss minutes also need to
be obtained.

1400 From observation, the gap and line stops

caused by unskilled operator and also slow
supply of compressor plates from the
other departments. The plates are being
supplied with automated hanger conveyer
and should not contribute to any lag and
loss of mins.

1600 The team is committed to improve the

lines of production and the task should
start from inner block at first. The records
of line performance is noted and yet to be
investigated. The line gaps from every
hour for continuous 9 hours are recorded.

1720 End of the day.

0745 The yesterday's work is continued to

obtain much more accurate data. The line
is monitored continuously for 9 hours.

1000 The other blocks is studied of their

functions and performances. There are
several parts of the blocks that sealed in a
room, in which the process is to test
whether the compressor units are working
or not. The rejected units will be sent out
of the line and be given to the repairman
for the repairing process.

1400 From the conversation with the

repairman, he is the one who actually can
do all the process in his blocks, in which he
need to cover any problems occured
caused by unskilled members or new
employers.

1720 The inner lines' performances did not

change much and the data is recorded for
future studies. End of the day.

0745 Studying packing block of the line. Every

units of compressor unit has their own ID
that need to be scanned and sync with the
database. The packaging line includes
processes such as sealing with boxes and
quality control.

1400 The sensors attached to the conveyor

function to count how many compressor
unit considered as outputs and send the
data to the LCD monitor. Line leader
should get the data and make conclusion
of the line performances based on the
quantity of outputs produced.

1720 Had a few conversations with the

operators regarding on how they manage
to keep the compulsory quantity of
outputs target and their problems on the
line that includes the work ethics and
procedures.

0745 The intern has been given a task to design

a container box to keep bags and
belongings of the operator alongside the
production lines. The current container is
not standardized and user friendly as well
as look a little bit messy.

1400 By using the software of Microsoft, the

design is sketch based on the
requirements needed.

1720 Production lines is studied again based on

their performances per hour, and is yet to
be confirmed with any improvements such
as industrial fans or jig and tools boxes
that are suggested to be installed.
