    There are key differences between magnesium (Mg) and aluminum (Al) die casting processes. Mg die casting requires pre-heating ingots, uses higher die temperatures, and needs thermal regulation. It also has lower oil shots, no die cooling, higher die life, and higher ingate velocity. In contrast, Al die casting does not require pre-heating or thermal regulation, uses lower die temperatures, has higher oil shots and die cooling, lower die life, and lower ingate velocity. It also requires metal degassing and uses cover-al flux for dross removal.
