REASON FOR TONIGHT’S MEETING

A. Inform you about the Auxiliary of The Gideons International.
B. Ask you to join with your husband in a family ministry, The Gideons
International, to win others to the Lord Jesus Christ
PURPOSE OF THE AUXILIARY
The purpose of the Auxiliary is to assist the Gideons in carrying out their
objective of winning others through:
A. Prayer B. Witnessing C. Distribution of God’s Word
OPPORTUNITIES FOR AN AUXILIARY MEMBER
A. PRAYER
1. Personal quiet time (Bible Reading Calendar and Prayer Calendars)
2. Prayer Meetings for the worldwide Gideon ministry
3. Spiritual growth through our Spiritual Objectives (elaborate). (Share brief and
accurate testimony of answered prayer in the ministry)
B. WITNESSING
1. Learn how to be a witness
2. Use and availability of Personal Workers Testament (PWT)
a. Purchase Testaments for witnessing
b. Helps in front of Testament and plan of salvation in back. (Share brief
and accurate testimony of Personal Workers Testament use)
C. DISTRIBUTION OF GOD’S WORD
1. We distribute: a. Facilities Testaments; used in correctional facilities,
domestic violence shelters, and crisis pregnancy centers b. Medical Testaments
to all medical and supportive medical personnel c. Bibles in medical and dental
offices and industrial plants. (Give a brief, accurate testimony, as time allows)
REASONS FOR YOU TO JOIN THE AUXILIARY TONIGHT
A. Support and encourage your husband by praying for and with him for this
vibrant ministry reaching the lost for Christ through the distribution of God’s Word
B. Grow together spiritually with one common goal of winning others
C. Opportunity to obey the command of God in Mark 16:15… “Go ye into all the
world”
D. Pray along with more than 90,000 Auxiliary members for this worldwide
outreach
E. Be part of a ministry that encourages and promotes spiritual growth
F. Associate and fellowship with other growing Christians
G. Wear the emblem of the Auxiliary, which leads to witnessing opportunities.
H. Your dues will support the direct cost of the ministry.
I. Finally, you are needed to be a witness, to place Scriptures and be a part of
our team. Revelation 1:3 tells us “…the time is at hand.”

Speaking of time, some of you may be thinking, do I have time to be an Auxiliary

member? How much time does it take?
Answer: It could be as much as 15 minutes a day, 3 hours a week, or whatever
God allows you to use for the work of the Auxiliary.
Let God take care of your time. He will work it out. Commit your time to the Lord
and Let God manage your time.
We read in Proverbs 11:30, “…he that winneth souls is wise.”
(Share a brief personal testimony of why you joined the ministry and how it has
impacted your life, your marriage, your family and spiritual walk.)
Matthew 5:16 states: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
CLOSING PRAYER: The Auxiliary moderator should pray for the leading of the Holy
Spirit in completion of the applications.
AUXILIARY APPLICATION: The Auxiliary moderator should ask all prospects to take
a pen and answer each question. She should carefully and slowly read the spiritual
questions, number three through five. (Hosts should be available to assist as needed.)
COLLECTION OF THE APPLICATIONS: The applications should be received by the
Auxiliary speaker to complete with the appropriate signatures. The applications and
payment of dues should be sent to International Headquarters immediately.
