4. Outline the benefits of cooperation at the community and at the national levels?

 It helps the community to be a better and safer place


 It also provide a clean and healthy environment
 Helps the youth to be more productive rather than being in gangs

5. Why is it important that CARICOM member states assist each other?


 So they can develop in increasing the trade with widening of tax free market on
goods from one CARICOM country to another and offer technical assistance in
providing skills where these are needed.

6. In what ways can CARICOM member states assist each other?

 They buy each other goods instead of buying it from countries out of their
member state, they even promote each other goods and also help each state
through difficult time for instances if a natural disasters or diseases put weight on
country economic they send food supplies, clothing, medical doctors and etc.

What are the roles of the following agencies in the integration process?

7. The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency:

 .To immediate and assistance to any disastrous event affecting any participating state if a
request is made.
 To secure, collate and channel to governments and non-governmental organizations and
comprehensive and reliable information on disasters affecting the region.

7. Caribbean Agricultural and Research Development Institute:

 To foremost agriculture research and development organization in the Caribbean.


 To contribute to agriculture through technical assistance, technology, transfer in areas of
plant, soil, and animal science.

8. West Indies Cricket Board:


 Main purpose is to advance cricket in the west indies
 Select west indies teams to tours
 Schedule international cricket competition
 Sources funds for international tours

9. Caribbean News Agency:

 To employ reporters to provide news on regional issues and events.

10. Caribbean Media Corporation:

 Provides and distribute a variety of programmers’ among its members.


 They provide Caribbean news, sports, the Caribbean economy, Caribbean talk shows as
well as the Caribbean festivals.

11. Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean in association football:


 To organize a Gold Cup every Two years
 Youth under-17 and under-20 Championships, Women Championships and inter
American cups.

12. Regional Security System:

 Aims to preserve the democracy, liberty of the individuals and the rule of law
 Aims to defend states
 Assist member’s states during national disasters.
 Control and eliminate drug trafficking.
