Students will create a mini store and will set the price of each good. The main object of this
assignement is for students to determine what is a good or a want. At the end of the unit, students will
share what they purchased and if the item(s) was need and/or want.

I will have various activities to discuss coins and there value. We will have group time in which we
will be able to discuss the importance of money, needs and wants. Before each topic, I will be
demonstrate or give an example of whatt the students need to do or know.

We will make a chart of needs and goods. Students will be able to come to the board and place
an object in the goods or need column. We will do something similar with coins.

Students will have worksheets to complete and will be able to identifty coins, various jobs, needs

Notes:
I will have a binder that will list my plans, reference material and daily/weekly schedule. I'm
natutally a planner so having a detail outline and list of referenece will help me tremendously.

DELIVERY PLAN (C8)


OBJECTIVE: As a result of this activity 80% of students will be able to

OPENING:

TEACHER INPUT:
Relevance Teacher will ask students questions about what they saw in the video. Also ask
students if they know what a need and want is.
MODEL:
Routing
Review penny, nickel, dime and quarter and each coin value. During group time
teacher and students will interact with various ways to earn income and list them on
the whiteboard or have a sorting activity. Teacher will have activity of different jobs.

GUIDED PRACTICE:
Retaining / Rehearsing
Break students into a small group. Each group will complete an activity on ways to each money with a worksheet and discuss as a
group which is a way to earn money. Students will also discuss as a small group the difference between income and gifts. There
will be an activity coin sorting mat which the students as a small group will sort pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters.

INDEPENDENT PRACTICE:
Students will complete a wants, needs, earning and saving worksheet indepently. The worksheet will give
an amount and will list two columns of needs and wants. Students will need to determine what is a need
and a want. There will be a Coin Sort worksheet where students will identify cut out the coins and place
the correct coins under each column.
CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING :
Recognizing By the end of the lessson, each student will create a store selling an item. Students will be able to shop at
other classmates store will a set amount of money at each other store.

ASSESSMENT:
Teacher will allow students to complete an enrichment activitity on the I-pad to see how
much the student know.
