A Pandemic Erupts: My Story

This story is about the Coronavirus Pandemic 2020, this Pandemic created a
worldwide fear globally. This virus struck during the end of December in Wuhan China
(Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market ) which started spreading around the globe. The
spreading of the virus started around the Chinese New Year in which the Chinese
people revisit their relatives. Many Chinese people who were infected by coronavirus
traveled to other countries to visit their relatives which promoted the spreading of this
virus.

I got to know about the virus in December when some famous people started
posing about it on social media. At first, I thought its a rumor but then I realized that it is
a serious condition. This virus spreads primarily through contact with an infected person
when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object
that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth, the fatality rate of the
virus is really high which is why people should quarantine themselves and not get into
public contact.

My fear is the mortality rate of this virus among the old age and the reluctance of
the teenagers of being quarantined. According to an article, teenagers are the main
source of spreading this virus. I see many of my friends posting stories on Instagram
roaming outside. These teenagers do not get the severity of this virus and disobey the
rules of the government. The mortality rate of coronavirus among teenagers is less but
they can easily spread this deadly disease to their parents and their grandparents which
can be really dangerous for them.

I am also worried about the impact of this disease on the countries economy. The
poor people cannot go and work outside and earn their daily wage which will lead to no
money and food for them. I hope the government helps them by giving them food and
important utilities. I have learned one thing that the tanks, missiles and nuclear bombs
in which most of the countries invest would not help in such a disaster. The lack of
medical appliances and hospitals have created a crisis. The government has to convert
parks into hospitals. Many doctors are getting infected by this virus because of the lack
of surgical masks and protection.

The government and president (Trump) are worried about the economy but not
the lives of the people. The economy can revive but not the lives of the people who are
lost during the pandemic. Being in the most developed country I am shocked seeing the
situation of this country it even surpassed Italy. The news reporters are predicting that
the situation in the United States of America is gonna worsen than the situation in Italy.
Even Mexico has banned the traveling of American citizens to their country which is
ironic and funny. I being a citizen of India have heard that one of the Indian students
who has been infected by coronavirus who is in NYU has been denied treatment of
coronavirus because he is not a citizen of America which is really unfair.

The pandemic has also forced to shut down offices and schools and start e-
school which is a good initiative. I have been spending the last few days by completing
homework and watching Netflix which has been really boring for me. I have heard that
the next two weeks will be really dangerous and there can be a lot of casualties too. I
hope the situation of America remains stable and not like Italy in which so many people
died that there was no space to bury the corpses.

I miss going outside and going to school and meeting my friends I hope
everything gets normal. Well, the silver lining to this situation is that there are not as
many cars on the roads which have decreased pollution and accidents on roads. Also,
many people have gotten a break from all the work and chaos and got time to spend
with their families. I am really happy to get work as I have been really bored because of
staying at home and I am happy that I don’t have to get ready for school which is really
good for me as I am really lazy I can also complete all my work and attend classes lying
on my bed but still I miss school and I am really enthusiastic to get back to school again.
