 JUAN VICENTE UGARTE DEL PINO
He was the son of the lawyer Lizardo Segundo Ugarte Bejarano and Graciela
Catalina del Pino Tamayo, and grandson of Colonel Juan Vicente Ugarte Lobón.
In 1955 he married Luz Cáceres Macgregor, from whom he became a widow
Without a doubt a very important figure and who had his own light. An
academic who always impressed me due to his wisdom.
My father remembered him in his programs where he taught us about his vast
historical knowledge. He was never bored listening to it. I really admired this
old man. None of his programs were missed. I am referring to Juan Vicente
Ugarte del Pino.
Today, since he was born on a day like today in 1923. He was elected in 1974
and 1975 as Dean of the Lima Bar Association and for whom I always have
respect for his person and knowledge. that he gave us so naturally, and always
nuanced with stories from his personal experience. It is always a very personal
pleasure for me to remember it, and how to overlook it today, on its name day.
Characters like him, without detracting from some I know, very rare indeed
in modern times.
Juan Vicente Ugarte de Pino, for his extensive career, deserves to be
remembered as a great teacher.
Here it is important to highlight it. it is worthy of imitating it. This is how this
young scholar entered the National University of San Marcos at the age of 18,
where he obtained his doctorate when he was only 37 years old. Without a
doubt a very outstanding student, and later a very recognized teacher. He
loved his Alma Mater.
