1. Interview your grandparents about the history of the family. Let them share their stories
about their own families and kinds of lives they lived. Write some point That most as you go
along with the interview.

When I interview my grandparents about the past they encountered before they said and
demonstrated the most horror and scariest war ever is the World War 2.My Lolo said that the
clash was brutal over the course of 29 days and thousands of Filipinos was killed because the
Japanese troops instructed to instill terror in the local population through starvation, torture,
and murder.

They said that the Philippines had Great loss of life and tremendous physical distractions by the
time that the war was over. My grandfather said and estimated 1 million of Filipinos had been
killed a large proportion during the final months of the war and Philippine was extremely
damaged. Manila became one of the most devastated capital cities during the war, and the
battle ended the almost three years of Japanese military occupation in the Philippines.

The city's capture was marked as General Douglas MacArthur’s key to victory in the campaign of
re conquest.

My Lolo told me that when the war was so prevalent, they need to crawl to fetch some fruits
from their farm in order to survive. Because if they walk normally the assurance of their safety
is not sure, they need to crawl so that they will not be getting hit by the bullets and the most
Scariest truth I heard is when they walk normally their feet cannot be landed at the land
instead their being landed by the humans dead bodies.. So sad and very painful events being
happened from the history.

2. Write a reflection paper on the value of the study of history to you as a student and as a Filipino.
The value of the study of history to me as a student and as a Filipino is Very important because
studying history helps us understand and grapple with Complex questions and dilemmas by
examining how the past has shaped (and continue to shape) Global, national, and local
relationships between Societies and people. History is the knowledge of the past, It is a sort of
collective memory in our lives and the history from the past. To appreciate Our Country’s future
and current circumstances, we must understand and comprehend what happened in the past.
Studying history understand our identity. As our country is rich in Culture, and history, we can
end their stand each of them, It allows us to observe and understand how people and societies
behave.
