Introduction

• News print is a specific type of paper used to publish newspapers and other publications and
advertising material.

• Inexpensive paper made primarily of mechanically ground wood pulp rather than chemical pulp
is known as news print.

• It is shorter lifespan than other papers but newsprint is cheap.

Invented in 1844 by Charles Fenerty of Nova Scotia,Canada.
