1. Discuss and evaluate any one research method in Psychology, giving

appropriate examples.

2. Discuss the basic operations of the long-term memory system. What

factors facilitate retrieval of information from this memory system?
Explain using examples and research findings.

3. Write notes on any two of the following:

(i) Emotional Intelligence

(ii) Gestalt laws of Perceptual Organisation
(iii) Observational Learning
(iv) Principles of Reinforcement

4. What is motivation? Discuss the basic ideas behind Maslow’s needs

hierarchy theory. To what extent has it received research support?

5. Discuss and evaluate the psycho-sexual stages of development according

to Freud’s theory.
