1-Explain the concept of labor legislation *

The term "labor legislation" or "labor laws" is used to denote that body of laws
which deal with employment and non-employment wages, working conditions, industrial
relations, social security and labor welfare of industrially employed persons.
Labor legislation refers to all laws of government to provide social and economic
security to workers. These acts are aimed atreduction of production losses due to
industrial disputes and to ensure timely payment of wages and other minimum
amenities to workers.
2-Discuss the objectives of labor legislation *
1. To Preserve the health, safety and welfare of workers
2. To Maintain good relations between employers and employees.
3. To improve the service conditions of industrial labour so as to provide for them
the ordinary amenities of life, and by that process,
4. To bring about industrial peace which could in its turn accelerate productive
activity of ihe country resulting in its prosperity.
5. To promote harmony between employees and employers.
6. To strengthen industrial relations.
7. To establish social,political and Economic Justice
3-Discuss the objectives of Trade union Act 1926. *
1. To ensure that workers get as per rules provident fund, pension and other
benefits.
2. To secure for the workers better safety and health welfare schemes.
3. To secure workers participation in management.
4. To Obtain Better Economic Returns
5. To inculcate discipline, self-respect and dignity among workers.
6.To ensure opportunities for promotion and training.
7.To secure organizational efficiency and high productivity.
8. To ensure stable employment for workers and resist the schemes of management
which reduce employment opportunities.
4-Discuss the objectives of Standing Oder Act 1946. *
1. To require employees to define conditions of work.
2. To bring out uniformity in terms and cindition of employment
3. To minimize industrial conflicts
4. To foster harmonious relation between employees and employers
5-Discuss the importance of labor legislation *
1. Labor Laws regulates not only the condition of work of industrial establishment
but also idustrial relations,payment of wages , registration of Trade unions.
2. It defines legal rights and obligations of employee and employers and also
provide guidelines for their relationship.
3. labour Legislation has helped the workers to remove economic insecurity to a
great extent.
4.With the enactment of labor legislation org have to provide hygeine and well
maintained working conditions to thier employees.
5. Helps in economic development of the country.
