My best strategy to learn English.

Regarding to the best strategy to learn English, each kind of person would have different experiences and may learn in

different way, as everyone is a learner during the whole live; we get experiences that can build a perspective about how to

learn, but, what is my best strategy to learn English?, to talk about it I need to put you in the context of my childhood, I mean

I was someone who got distracted and disturbed with some of the traditional materials that are used inside the classes, even

usually I got bored, it was not easy to keep focused trying to learn with guides or filling gaps related with grammar, but

surprisingly you can learn and get the love for languages getting experiences and hearing the spoken language , learning

English through acquisition of the language associating the meanings, across the likes and senses as you have as human

being, you can even learn without knowing you are learning, but usually you do it acquiring the knowledge you find useful for

live ,so I will say that the best way to learn is the acquisition of the spoken language through association, associating things

like useful meaning and sounds, before trying to the use of guides and writing materials that use to be used in the schools,

because over all we need to use language as a way of communication.

To approach to the acquisition, I will like to show the language as a way of communication itself, I may ask to other language

teachers, what they think is the first way of communication a human being can use to interact ?, I think rarely someone will

say that a kid can write and interact writing before learning to speak, and that is one of the problems I see in the guides and

materials that were used in my childhood, it was trying to teach language that I never found useful, I was trying to learn a

nonnative language and its grammar expressions, before learning the bases of how to speak it, or important meanings for

what I do and I needed to communicate or understand in my real life, and I can say I knew how to speak Spanish before

how to write or interact with Spanish. So I had just to associate my spoken Spanish with written words, letters and sentences.

In contrast some classes with a white board explaining how to write the present simple and the filling the gaps of the English

language would have helped the learning process better if I knew first something about the language itself, and even I you

learn lot of English grammar through writing processes, you are not directly learning how to use it in a real context, or

sometimes you can see someone that can read and understand what he reads in English, that maybe should have

emphasized the grammar translation and other grammar rules, but in many times them can´t understand people who speaks
in English, even worse, he cannot pronounce a lot of English words, because he knows perfectly how to traduce but not how

to interact with English, one example of this is my father.

By contrast a good way I found to understand some words and progressively learn some sentences and pronunciations of

English was to associate language in the activities I used to develop, simple things as watch educational tv programs I liked,

English written or spoken in games, or even music I found interesting because the sound or the videos were taken for me as

something related with the world, I wanted to understand and learn how to play it, documental about awesome animals, or

even single words in the buttons of the pc programs that my sister was trying to teach me were very useful to see and

associate English and acquire more and more words and eventually understand even fragments of sentences, trying to

create utterances, because that acquisitions were not only focused in how English is written but also in how it is interacting

and representing the world we can need and understand, I can say I learnt a lot with the music my family had, or the design

programs as Corel draw because they were related with the world my family was living, even the work they developed, and I

felt I needed to understand each feature, as example, how to manage it and use it, why and how each function is there, how

to design, or how animals live, how instruments can be played and so on, and during that big process I got not only language

skills in vocabulary also in pronunciation or grammar structure without being focused in learn that grammar, rather I will say I

all those things were learned while I was acquiring knowledge in another language too.

Therefore, the best strategy I found to learn English is related to acquire English through the developing of activities you

need or like to do in real life, and associate the English presented there in each kind of product or activity, not only using

materials to improve in one skill, but acquiring and learning about the whole language and each of its features as

pronunciation, intonation, syntax, context and meaning without being only learning English but living,
