Caucasus Barometer 2012 Results Coming Soon!

The Caucasus Barometer (CB) 2012 data will be available shortly! The CB explores household composition
and social and political attitudes across the South Caucasus. In addition to questions asked in previous
years, CRRC has included new questions assessing social capital and religious views. The 2012 survey also
includes specific questions that measure attitudes towards Joseph Stalin and his rule, as a part of a project
by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Read more...

CRRC Azerbaijan Organizes Data Entry Training for Khazar University Students

As part of its commitment to developing local capacity in the social sciences, CRRC Azerbaijan, in
conjunction with Khazar University, is pleased to announce a successful start to its annual student-based
data entry initiative. Now in its fourth year, this initiative aims at familiarizing Khazar University students
with data entry processes. Participants gain valuable quantitative methodological experience in areas
such as sampling, survey design and conduct, the Kish method, double entry, and data cleanup. Read

VET Graduates in Armenia: Unemployed or Underpaid

CRRC-Armenia, in cooperation with the European Training Foundation (ETF) has conducted a tracer
survey of graduates in Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Armenia. VET is important in
providing the necessary knowledge and skills to be competitive in Armenia’s current labor market. The
survey revealed that many VET graduates’ level of satisfaction with their education was not highly
correlated to their current employment status. This indicates that they viewed their education as
independent from their prospective career opportunities, and as beneficent for their overall value. Read

Most of Data Collection for MYPLACE Project Has Been Completed

MYPLACE (Memory, Youth, Political Legacy and Civic Engagement) is a project investigating levels and
forms of civic participation among youth in 14 European countries, and to what extent their participation
can be explained by the historical memories that youth and their families have. The project employed
both qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. CRRC will organize several presentations of
MYPLACE findings beginning in January 2013. Read more...
