Management is art or science

As management is a process by which manager (any level of management) getting things or work done
by other people. As it is known that management has different function, skills, and level and gaining
such information like skills, functions, and level and to reach those categories, researches, principles
which needs knowledge based on what we can say management is science. And for practicing and doing
things practically these all things based on this management is an art. For example gaining knowledge,
rules, principles, and researches or any field like engineering, medicine, and many others is called
science but practicing engineering and getting things done through technical people is called an art.

Relationship between Management and Leadership:

Management is a process through which things done by others, which has three levels: top-level
management, middle level management and lower lever management. Management has five functions:
organizing, planning, directing staffing and controlling. It has three different skills as conceptual, human
and technical skill. While leadership is all about motivating, persuading, making overall goal vision and
mission of an organization. I think it is not necessary to say “every manger cannot be a leader and every
leader can be a manager” because both of them are different terms and a person may have both of the
skills, some of them or one of them.
