Topic: Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an
unsatisfactory job or a shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve
such situations.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

My task (answer):

The public discourse of whether resigning oneself to an unhappy state of affairs such as
unacceptable job or financial problems is the most optimal way or people should endeavour to
render such situations better shows no sign of abating (unclear, lengthy and unnatural). In my
opinion, I wholeheartedly concur with the latter.

 The public discourse of whether one should resign oneself to an unhappy state of affairs
or endeavor to remedy the situation shows no sign of abating.

Opponents of the idea of accepting to live with (no need, too lengthy) a sad case (undesirable
situation/position) might contend that doing so is able to help people stay away from other worse
circumstances (other even worse possible outcomes). For example, when people are offered a job
which may not be commensurate with their abilities, they should still accept it. In present day,
the rate of unemployment is increasing considerably; therefore having an inadequate job can be a
wise choice., although there are numerous jobs on a level with their capabilities. They cannot
make sure that if they apply for another job, they will be accepted. As a result, notwithstanding a
low wage, it isnot worthrisking to apply for a high-salary job which they maynot be accepted.
(week examples & lengthy expression).
 For example, people usually hesitate to leave their current job even though that positon
might not be their passion nor commensurate with their skills because they do not want to
risk their stable income source for something uncertain.

However, that people do not make every attempt to improve their sad situations means they have
a weak and pusillanimous personality. In the contemporary world, people with this kind of
character are often trifled with by others, and there is a high likelihood that the society may keep
them away, which makes them feel forlorn. In the long run, they are highly likely to suffer from
psychological problems. Besides, if people are determined to get through their bad cases, they
will have a chance of success. Take Thomas Edison, who created a number of life-changing
inventions, as an illustration. One of his memorable innovations is the light bulb. He failed many
times during the period he made it. Nonetheless, he didnot accept his failure, and he continued to
do more research to know the reason why his light bulb burned out after a few minutes.
Eventually, it came to fruition after he found the correct material from which to make the
filament.
In conclusion, no matter how hard the difficulties are, people ought to defeat them at all costs, in
lieu of acknowledging them.

The three pie charts provide a breakdown of data upon three different means of transport used to
transfer goods in a country in Europe in three different periods: 1800, 1850, and 1900.

Overall, while canals was the most popular mode of goods transportation in 1800, its popularity
reduced considerably to pave way for railways between 1850 and 1900. The other means of
goods transportation observed corresponding decreases in their percentage.

With respect to canals, despite its dominance in 1800-at 68%, its proportion declined sharply to
only 30% in 1850. There was a twofold decrease in its proportion in 1900. Another category to
also see a remarkable dip in its percentage was roads whose initial proportion was 30%. It fell by
15% in 1900.

By contrast, while the number of merchandise transported by trains accounted for 2% in 1800, its
momentum gained a lot in 50 years subsequently when its percentage made up half of the pie
chart, and it went up to 70% in 1900. That was a factor of thirty-five.
