very easy and effective teaching strategies to teach us and we don’t need to study the subject again at
home because she discussed everything clearly and never start the next topic until we all understand
the last one very well. In in spite of the subjects, she teaches us good ethics and etiquette also to make
us strong by character. She motivates us to always follow the right path in the life even we have to face
much difficult situations. She tells us that we never become hopeless in difficult situations and search
some easy ways to get out of them. She told us not to think negative and always think positive as it
always happens what we think and what we do. Sometimes when the topic is over, she shares with us
about her struggle period of life in order to encourage us towards study, she tells us also to be
passionate about our study and aim of the life. She always tells me even when I’m still studying and until
now to always be Humble and whatever happens I should always keep my feet on the ground and never
ever forget to pray and be thankful every day. My favorite teacher is my mother, her name is RUDELYN

On which philosophies of education is the k-12 basic education curriculum anchored? Explain
your answer
Education is always faced with the ever-changing philosophical ideas that in turn have
an effect on how educators and policy makers chart the learning process of students. It aims to
make a learner-relevant curriculum. This adheres the theory of essentialism, as we all know that
essentialism is particularly concerned with the fundamentals of education. Curricular points of
essentialism encourage the cultivation of basic skills that contribute to mastery and literacy.
Thus, the k-12 programs have subjects that are taught from simplest concepts though
grade levels in spiral progression. Essentialism promotes the cultivation of competencies in
history, mathematics and sciences. In the k-12 model, as early as elementary, students gain
knowledge in areas such as Biology, Geometry, Earth science, chemistry and Algebra. This
ensures a mastery of knowledge and skills after each level.
