Assignment Overview: Due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) and child care centers and schools
being closed across the country, this alternate assignment has been designed to replace the Unit 6
on-site, classroom visitation assignment. You will view six short videos and write a summary based
on the given requirements. You have the choice to write your “Summary and Application” by
completing this tool or by writing a 2-3 page paper. With either format you will need to address all
the sections and use APA formatting.

Step 2: Select and view a video from EACH of the following six categories. You will view a total
of six (6) videos.

2. Inspiring Lessons: What We Learned from the Community Partners for Early Literacy Project
3. Family Reading Time/La Hora de Lectura en Familia
4. E-Clips
5. Supporting Children’s Physical and Outdoor Play
6. Guiding Young Children’s Behavior

Step 3: Summary & Application (completed chart or written paper)
