I. Hypothesis Statement:
It is a new field in financial research so many Entrepreneurs who wants to achieve
their ideas in to implementation are seeking for banks help for their working capital but they
are not aware of banks practices in credit appraisal.

II. Objectives:
 To study the Banking in Canara Bank
 To focus on factors considered in analyzing the financial needs of their clients.
 To study procedural formalities while sanctioning.

III. Methodology:
Research Design- Descriptive Research
Descriptive research is used to describe characteristics of a phenomenon being
studied. The description is used for frequencies, averages and other statistical
calculations. Often the best approach, prior to writing descriptive research, is to
conduct a survey investigation.
IV. Literature Review:

1) Chipochedenga Makomeke& MiriamChitura(2016) This research describes


about the study which identify various causes and the debilitating repercussions of
poor credit risk management, various credit appraisal techniques, and implementation
of these techniques in commercial banks. It also sought to identify causes of
deteriorating asset quality as well as their effectiveness, paying particular attention to
asset quality.

2) Dr. Mabel S. Beulah, Ms.Lakshmi S. Raja (2018)


Credit appraisal means investigation/assessment done by the bank before
providing any loans and advances/project finance and also checks the commercial,
financial &industrial viability of the project proposed its funding pattern and further
checks the primary & to study the collateral security cover available for recovery of
such funds. Credit appraisal system with respect to banking industry which means
how the managers in banks appraise the corporate firms lending process and how the
whole process carried forward like a system keeping certain aspects like risk, legal
into concern.
3) Xiaofeng, JuYukun ,LiJing Sun 2002 An assessment model of
commercial bank credit risk based on BP neural network is established, using the
credit assessment index system established for commercial banks. This network is a
3-storey structure with 9 factor inputs and one output measuring the credit risk of
commercial banks; besides, the neural network rule layer has the capability of self-
adaptation, self-organization and self- adjustment in accordance with specific
conditions or problems.
V. Chapter Scheme:
 CHAPTER-1: INTRODUCTION. –This chapter includes theoretical Background,
Industry History growth and prospects, Definition of terms used.
 CHAPTER-2: REVIEW OF LITERATURE & RESEARCH DESIGN- Review of
literature and Title of study.
 CHAPTER-3: COMPANY PROFILE.-Nature, Type, B.O.D, Charts and Business
operations.
 CHAPTER-4: DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION.-Data table, Analysis
and Inference to the table.
 CHAPTER-5: FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.-This should be more
specific and acceptable in nature.
 CHAPTER-6: CONCLUSION & LEARNING EXPERIENCE.-It should justify the
objectives of study
