    Q. Why was the Prince called the Happy Prince?


    Ans. The Prince lived in a palace. He saw
    beautiful things all around him. There were no
    tears and sorrows in his life. He was really
    happy. He had not seen any poverty. He did not
    know what sorrow was. He saw beautiful things
    around him. So the Prince was called the Happy
    Prince.

    Q. “I cannot choose but weep.” Why did he say


    so?
    Ans. The statue of the Happy Prince was on a
    high pillar. He could see the sorrows and misery
    of the poor people. The people of the city were
    suffering so much. But he could not move from
    his place. Therefore, he could not choose but
    weep.
