Plan A Plan C
Form figure 1, it was shown on the table that 177 tiles are needed for plan A,
316 tiles for plan B and plan C 178 tiles was needed. It also shows the material
cost which sum up to $153,480 for plan A, $148,620 for plan B and plan C
$324,500 is the material cost. It also shows the time needed and the total cost.
From figure 2, the pie chart shoes the labour cost of tiling storeroom. It shaws
that there is a significant difference between plan B and the other two plans.
The gap between plan A and C are wider compared to plan B.
Figure 3, histogram showing the total cost and total time as percentage. It

Discussion
oF(indinqs
During the research the following observations were made by the researcher
1. The total cost for tiling the storeroom under plan A, B and C are $224,580,
$196,020 and $395,900 respectively.

2. The amount of tile needed to tile an area of gm x 8m under the different

plans are 711, 316 and 178 respectively.

3. The percentage of the labour cost according to plan A, B and C were

41.36P•, 27.579a and 31.06% respectively.

4. The total cost for material were as follow $153,480 for plan A, $148,620
for plan B and plan C amount to $342,500.

5. The time needed for plan A 3 days, 2 /2 days for plan B and plan C 2 days.

Limitations
Although this research was a successful study there were few limitations/
problems the researcher encounter such as: -
4 On the day to interview the contractor he was taken up with his duties, the
researcher delays a lot of time, however the problem was resolved by
visiting him the following day.

6 The researcher did not quote prices from different business entity.

Conclusion 8 Recommendations
After the completion of this project as the calculations stated it can be
concluded that 18” x 18” size of tile is more affordable to purchase since it is
less expensive, hence, it is recommended that persons should try to use 1B” x
18" tiles and keep a record of prices of different size of tiles from business
places before purchase.
