Far away in the rural area of Transylvania there was a vampire named Steve.

Steve, at the ripe age of 150, is the youngest vampire in Romania. He has been
asleep for the past 100 years. When vampires first are transformed, they are
required to sleep in the solitary confinement of a coffin for their first century of life.
This is to ensure the ravenous hunger of the vampire once they are awakened. Upon
awakening, it is every vampires duty to be recognized as a true terror to civilization
by the Vampire Society and earn the title of Count, or they will be terminated. Now in
2020, is the time for Steve to awaken, claim his title of “Count Steve” and become an
official vampire.
Not only must Steve take the lives of 1000 humans, he must completely suck
them dry of all their blood, leaving only a corpse of skin and bones. Before he
devours them, he is required by the VS to harvest a single drop of blood within his
amulet as a token of victory from each of his victims. Once he achieves an amulet
full of the blood, the VS will grant him the title of Count and he will be free to pursue
his life as a vampire.
The only problem is that Steve didn’t want to be a vampire at all. He was
unwillingly transformed and condemned against his will. Upon awakening, he
anguished at the thought of hurting anyone, let alone devouring them. Steve needed
to come up with a plan to trick the VS into thinking took the lives of humans to fill his
amulet. Steve knew what to do. He assumed there was no way VS would possibly
know if he alternatively filled his amulet without killing, due to the fact they were all
so ancient they couldn’t even go outside anymore. He would transform his castle into
a vampire themed hotel, then require each patron to prick their finger for “theatrical
purposes,” then he would put that drop of blood into a vial and use that blood to fill
his amulet. He assumed there had to be at least 1000 visitors of Romania who are
vampire obsessed that would be willing to oblige, and boy was he right. Soon after
word had spread of a spine-chilling, gothic, magnificent castle being renovated into a
hotel, vampire fans came from far and wide. They didn’t even question giving Steve
a drop of blood for the fantastic experience of staying in a vampire themed castle. It
only took Steve 30 days to harvest drops of blood from 1000 humans.
Steve now had to prepare himself to meet with the VS. He put on a black
cloak with his amulet at the front, and stained his fangs and chin with deep red
raspberry juice. He was now ready to face the VS and claim his title. Upon arrival,
Steve proudly presented the VS with his amulet of blood as proof of his triumphs,
but the council was suspicious. They pondered how he could have consumed so
many humans in such little time. Nervously, Steve kept his composure in front of the
intimidating group of elders and claimed he was simply starving once he woke, and
showed mankind no mercy. The VS found his testimony amusing, as they have all
experienced such desperate hunger before.
That day, Steve was officially appointed “Count Steve” by the VS without
killing a single human. Count Steve became famous in the eyes of humans for his
dedication to the vampire fandom. He kept his vampire hotel open for the general
public, and continued on to become a multimillionaire, opening 10 more themed
hotels around the world.
