Portfolio Artifact Description: Graffiti Painting + Fictional Story - Create original
graffiti painting of your professor using a painting software, and write a fictional story
based on the character you have created.
What you learned/overcame: During the duration of this project I learned many
things about Microsoft Paint. I experimented with all of the different brushes and
found appropriate ways to use different brush strokes throughout my graffiti painting.
I think the hardest part was trying to figure out how to change your skin tone to be a
pale white while keeping facial features intact. I ended up finding a brush that was
slightly transparent to achieve this. I also used different tools like an airbrush to
make your hair silver. I enjoyed playing around with the color picker tool too, which is
what I used to find a color for the fangs. I picked a color from your teeth and painted
with it. I also went and used the full range of colors to create a deep red, almost
blackish color for the blood and amulet.

works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations .
Application of Skills Learned for the Future: I feel that this project would be a lot
of fun for students while also teaching them many skills that would fulfill multiple
parts of any school curriculum. Not only do students get a chance to learn how to
thoroughly use Microsoft Paint, or any other painting software, they would be pushed
to harness their creativity even further with an original narrative. Not only expressing
creativity, students would learn how to use technology to draw, as well as essential
writing skills.
