1. Biblically and traditionally it is only for male. Why? because the culture before
the bible was patriarchal and only the male chosen by the lord through the
prophets were allowed to become priests. Now, even Jesus Christ in the new
testament, he chose the twelve apostles. And culturally, they are men, right?
Now, what is the practical side of it?
Male(s) cannot conceive. Because if a woman is pregnant it’s very uncomfortable
doing the ritual of the church, so that’s the practical side. And priests before were
missionaries so it’s very difficult for women to go on her own knowing the danger. But
male(s) when they preach, when they went for a mission it is (because) they are
male, the danger is not that difficult.

2. Well I agree with the church because I already gave you the reason. Even
Jesus Christ himself chose 12 apostles.

3. When Jesus Christ came he recognised women and children with the same
rights. The church also continues the view of Jesus regarding equality. So the
church is actually Christ because Jesus Christ is the one who established the
church and he said : I will be with you until the end of time. So the church is
the bride of Jesus Christ, who is the groom.

1. According to the Catholic Church before during the time of Jesus, there are followers
who are women. But they are not possible to be ordained. Only men, kasi according
to the Vatican 2 dapat ang mga oordinahang kaparian lamang ay ang mga lalaki at
hindi mga babae. But there are other Christian denominations or religions na
ordained women are possible. Even bishop, pwede ang babae. Pero ngayon sa
Catholic church, ‘di siya allowed only men.
But as of this
time, very strict ang Catholic Church to ordain men only.

2. Disagree. Kasi in the first place, Jesus was calling the first apostles John, Andrew,
Peter and James. They are men and then after calling the four apostles, he was
praying over to the mountain.
Kristo. Kasi para saakin, bilang isang babae, parang napakahirap na the Church will
ordain women. Parang weak sila in
terms of… responding (to) the call of Jesus, as ordained priests or ordained
ministers.
kababaihan. So as of this time, I disagree to ordain women in the Catholic Church.

2.a. What weaknesses?

tinitignan nila. Ang babae kasi, hindi eh. So ang babae kasi there is a tendency na mag-
aasawa sila.

3.
They also have their vocation to follow Jesus. But to the sacrament of ordination to
priesthood parang imposibleng mangyari.
kababaihan. Di naman natin yun dinidisregard. Mayroon din talagang mga babaeng mga
matatapang, facing the challenges of the Catholic Church. But then, yung mga kababaihan
in our contemporary time, yun yung mga matatapang when it comes to mission. Matatapang
katulad natin.

1. Si Jesus daw sabi daw na pinili niya na disciples is mga lalaki lang so I think it affects
the ordination for priesthood na limited lang siya for men

2. Pwedeng icionsider na women can play a role in being ordained as a priest in church
kasi since i think that they can practice the same uh competence din and i think that
they can also uphold the cath values of the church i think that there is no difference if
men and women pwede silang maging priests sa church. I think that they have the
same capabilities

3. Men and women are equal but they both play different roles. Women only tend to
care for their children and stay at home. Men always work outside of home and they
have to uphold their responsibilities as men. And they get ordained for priesthood
even though may mga typical characteristics between them, I think that the Catholic
church (view) on women is the same as men.

(Eng. Ver.)
1. Stories from the old testament, mostly showed that God chose men only to lead like
Moses and David. While when Jesus chose His disciples, they were only men. In my
opinion, that affected why only men are ordained for priesthood.
2. I agree with women being ordained in the church because I believe that women could
preach and serve also and do what men can do.
3. The Catholic church view on women is that they can't be ordained as priest or bishop
or something in a high position inside the Catholic community because they believe that
those are for men only.
