Implementation of Supply Chain Management Practices: The Role


of Transformational Leadership

This article highlights the importance of supply chain management management in


order to generate a competitive advantage through good practices and thus
maintaining good quality in the product and / or service, and in this way seeks
evidence a good result in order to obtain a good performance of the company,
through the different fields of leadership and its different characteristics, such as
transformational leadership in order to generate a competitive advantage.
Companies today are willing to face different changes such as new technologies,
those that seek to face new challenges in a very effective and efficient way, which
is willing to establish competition in the market, through an excellent Chain of
supply, where it manages to generate a greater impact to its consumers, through a
competitive advantage in order to obtain better performance within the company,
through the implementation of SCM practices, thus evidencing leadership behavior.
Consequently, it is evident that the work environment is of great importance, where
the work of the employees stands out, since they are the creative, innovative part,
through constant learning and productive work performance within the company,
thus generating a great impact of leadership in SCM practices, also seeking to
obtain a competitive advantage and good performance, through the quality of the
product and / or service, thus giving good customer service in order to generate a
good Positioning.

From the transformational leadership approach, it seeks to generate that trust in


employees in order to motivate employees through rewards in order for them to
demonstrate their skills based on knowledge, capacity and commitment and thus
be able to generate constant innovation, using the implementation of technological
infrastructure and achieving great changes, this type of behavior is known as
transformational leadership. Likewise, the leaders are in charge of constantly
verifying the performance of their employees in order to achieve compliance with
those goals patented in the company and try to avoid those labor problems or seek

an early solution and from this be able to obtain a improvement in their work area
and reflecting a positive performance where a constant improvement in the
performance of organizational learning, creativity and innovation is involved,
additionally these leaders seek to understand the objectives that each employee
has, in order to promote various changes, to starting from good communication
and generating a good charisma, which is the great support given from
transformational leadership.

According to Anderson (1994), companies seek to generate a mutual relationship


with their suppliers in order to generate growth in the market and a position,
through company-supplier relations strategies in which commitment and quality are
highlighted. From this, what he seeks is to generate good decision-making based
on leadership actions among suppliers, customers and employees in order to
provide constant improvement in customer service. Additionally, it seeks to
guarantee a good relationship with the client through the satisfaction of needs,
where companies seek to generate a long-term competitive advantage through
added value to their products and / or services, thus generating developing
extended sustainability. through a joint relationship with the client.

On the other hand, it is of great importance that exchange with partners that are
linked to the supply chain in order to provide a competitive advantage over other
companies that are linked to the same sector of sale of the product and / or
service. that it is being provided through the use of new technologies in order to
increase its level of information and thus achieve good communication between the
different partners that the supply chain registers. Additionally, within the
transformational leadership, it seeks to emphasize quality and the exchange of
information in order to strengthen the different environments of the company in the
long term in order to take advantage of all the knowledge of human talent. It is also
evident that from the implementation of SCM practices they seek to satisfy
customers through added value and thus meet the short and medium term
objectives of the organization

Finally, as has been shown, transformational leadership is one of the most relevant
within the organization through SCM practices with the aim of predicting fully
optimal competitive advantage and organizational performance, where factors such
as clarity of goals, support for creativity, confidence, self-efficacy, affective
commitment and job satisfaction in order to improve your performance throughout
the supply chain
