Summer Placement Report

Batch of 2019-21
Placement Convenor’s Message

The Summer Internship Process for the batch of 2019-2021 concluded

successfully with all our students getting placed, achieving 100% placements
once again. We would like to thank all our recruiters who placed their trust in
us and chose to visit FMS.

We continuously strive to meet the expectations of our recruiters and utmost

importance is given to their feedback and suggestions to make sure FMS
continues to produce the leaders of tomorrow. The change in admission
criteria which was implemented made sure FMS continues to attract the top
talent in the country.

The increase in the number of offers made by niche consulting firms and
banks stands as a testimony to the quality of students in FMS. This year also
saw an unprecedented increase in the number of offers made by e-commerce
firms.

We would also like to express our gratitude to all our stakeholders, our fellow
faculty members, students and the illustrious alumni who have been a great
source of support and encouragement in the smooth conduct of the
placement process and making this feat possible. We would also like to thank
our Dean, Prof. Sunita Singh Sengupta for her support and guidance.

2
Placement Overview

The summer placement process at FMS Delhi was concluded with great success. Students
benefitted from the diverse opportunities that companies offered, testament to the trust
they bestow on our campus. Both national and international opportunities were available
in numbers for students to choose from.

To ensure a smooth and transparent process for the companies, some important
measures were taken. Firstly, a slotting exercise was done to democratically decide when
a company would come in the placement process. Also, for the fifth year in a row, a
scheduling algorithm was run in the placement process to optimally match the company
and student’s preferences during the recruitment exercise.

To encourage students to explore diverse interests, FMS offers its students a gamut of
opportunities across traditional domains such as Sales and Marketing, BFSI, Operations
and IT, as well as sectors such as E-Commerce, Healthcare, Social Development, Media
Marketing and Pharmaceutical. In addition to these, start-ups too were in vogue, as
students who had a penchant for entrepreneurship wanted to get a flavor of the
entrepreneurship bug by interning in start-ups.

At FMS, there is a strong culture of experiential learning and students supplement their
academic learning with practical insights from the corporate world. Nestled in a strategic
location that is at the crossroads of busy corporate and student activity, FMS has hosted
over 83 business leaders till now to facilitate a comprehensive learning curve for its
students. This is truly reflected in the dominance of its students in the best and the most
exclusive corporate competitions in the country.
