The 10 inventions that changed the world

Since the beginning of humanity, great ideas have marked the path of man
throughout its history. These are the ten most important inventions.

1- The Wheel

Created before 3500 a. C., qualifies as a fundamental invention for human


development, since it was possible to manufacture machinery and transport,
among other things.

2- The Plow

It is a tool used to open holes and move the earth to sow seeds. It appeared back
in 3500 BC. C. in the towns of Mesopotamia.

3- Gunpowder

Created in the 10th century, it was used to propel projectiles from weapons.
Today it is used for fireworks.
4- The printing press

This mechanical method of reproducing texts and images generated a cultural


revolution. It appeared between 1000 and 1400, in China, where it was used with
rice paper.

5- Steam machine

By 1698 it made its great appearance and was widely used during the Industrial
Revolution for the movement of machines.

6- Anesthesia

Since its introduction in 1799, it had several variants regarding the pain relievers
that were incorporated; ether dominated the market until 1960.

7- the telegraph

German scientists Gauss and Weber installed a 1,000-meter telegraph line in


1833 to link the university with the astronomical observatory in Göttingen, the
town in which they worked.
8- Combustion engine

9- Penicillin

1983

Motorola, completed the project by launching what is considered the 'first mobile phone
in history, the Motorola Dynatac 8000. The device measured 33 x 4.5 x 8.9 centimeters
and weighed 800 grams, offering in addition to the typical telephone keypad. , it had
nine special keys.

1989

After this, in 1989 motorola continued innovating and launched the MicroTAC, the
reduced version in size and advanced in autonomy of the first Dynatac 8000x mobile.

The Nokia 9000i Communicator appeared

It is considered the first ‘smartphone’ on the market although the industry had
already offered other pocket computers. The phone's physical configuration was
also novel as users could open the 9000i horizontally to access a large LCD
screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. With PDA capabilities, you could send and
receive faxes, text messages, and emails, and also limited access to the Web via
160-character SMS messages.

Nokia 3210 launched


One of the most advanced of the time, although it had coverage problems in

For 2001 Nokia presented its first cell phone with a single color screen, the screen was

T-MOBILE Sidekick
With the T-MOBILE Sidekick came internet browsing to cell phones, additional Nokia

Pearl. With its slim design and SureType keyboard, this phone was the first
Blackberry to include a camera and audio / video player. Combining these

impressive mobile device.
2007

iPhone

On January 9, 2007, the history of cell phones split in two, the world saw the birth of a
