Subject to the following, I have no adverse comment to your proposed proprietary grout - Conbextra HF
by Fosroc, for use in relation to the grouting between RC structures and baseplates/structural steelwork:
1. Please provide written confirmation from the manufacturer that the propriety grout does not contain
high alumina cement. (PS App G Cl 22.3.21(d) refers.)
2. Please ensure to follow the manufacturer's recommendation for application of the proposed
material.
3. Trial mix to be carried out and tested to demonstrate that the grout and method of appication
complies with the requiremetn on bleeding, free expansion, flow cone efflux time and crushing
strength.
4. The proposed material is for application as shown on the steelwork drawings only. Proposal of
applying this proprietary grout for any repairing or remedial works in this project shall be submitted
and reviewed separately.
