1. Tell me about yourself.

My name is Luqman Hakim Bin Dzulkarnain and I am from Melaka. I have 2 siblings and I am
the first. I study Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia. I really enjoy learning
new things, so research is actually on of my hobbies. I have done a lot of project works
during my studies. I earned many valuable experiences throughout my project works. I
always make sure to do well planning and scheduling so that I can finish my works on time. I
pride myself for following through and meeting deadlines. I am looking for a place where I
can grow as a person and at contribute my efforts towards employer goals. I’m really
interested to gain experience in your company because of great achievements to be rank
top 10 companies with disclosure by Minority Shareholder Watch Group and so I was really
attracted to your company.

2. Why did you leave your previous job?

I learned a lot of things from my previous company and earned many valuable experiences. I
loved working with my previous colleague because we keep our good relationship inside and
outside the work. Our teamwork is very great and everyone is professional and tolerance. I
am surrounded with positive and hardworking people there. I really loved the working
surrounding in my previous. I think I have done a very good job there and this is the time for
me to make a huge leap to grow up. I want to experience new working culture especially in
this company and your success will be my top priority.

4. What are your strengths?

I am a softball player and I once represent my school and college in many tournaments. We
made it to be the champion of the tournament. I believe without good teamwork, we would
not be able to claim the title. Playing softball need a good teamwork, good communications
and make a quick decision. I find out that by playing softball, it does train me to be a good
team player and make a good decision in critical time. I do believe that those skills are
actually very important in anything what you are doing. I usually do projects in group and
those skills really help me to deal with the circumstances and finish our projects successfully.

5. What are your weaknesses?

My greatest weakness is that I sometimes have a hard time letting go of a project. I’m the
biggest critic of my work, and I can always find something that needs to be improved or
changed. To help myself improve in this area, I give myself deadlines for revisions. This helps
ensure I’m not making changes at the last minute. Besides, in the past, I have found it
difficult to work with aggressive personality types. While I understand diversity in
personalities makes something strong, I tend to quiet my own ideas and opinions around
louder colleagues. To combat this, I have made it a point to spend more time with colleagues
I feel uncomfortable working with. By learning more about them, their communication style
and their motivations, I am better able to collaborate with these personality types so that we
both equally contribute our strengths and skills.
6. Tell me about a difficult situation you have faced
In my last projects I sometimes had to find answers to IT question. I would often go on the
Internet and look for research paper or blogs on the topics I needed to learn about. I really
enjoy learning new things, so research is actually on of my hobbies. Besides, I have faced a
number of difficult situations, but one that comes to mind now is when something
unexpected things happen and it actually interrupts my project schedule. The plan does not
go well as scheduled due to this unexpected event. I was able to deal with it by assessing the
situation, determining the possible different approaches and deciding on the most effective
one. I had to remain unemotional and objective and focused on a solution. I am a
perfectionist and I may be too hard on myself or my co-workers sometimes.

7. Where do you see yourself in next 5 years?

Over the next few years, I want to explore and develop skills in project management. In five
years, I want to have gained experience in leading projects for major clients. I will be looking
for opportunities to expand my responsibilities within this role to work towards my goal.

8. Why should we hire you?

As, I am a fresher, I don’t have any work experience, but I strongly believe that I am much
more capable in giving significant contribution that will be surely beneficial for the
company’s growth point of view. For a long time, I was trying to get into this company, but
just now I got a chance. I can ensure you that I will always try to focus on company's vision,
goal, and things that can become a reason of company success. If, I get this employment, I
would surely apply newly obtained skills & thoughts for company benefits. I would shortly
become a superb team player. Quickly, I will try to understand the work culture. I will never
cross the deadline of the assigned work. And, I will stick to company's rules, guidelines and
policies on the work ethics.
